  Wholesome B+B

  This B+B is centrally situated in Ladysmith and can be used as a base to visit the battlefields of the Anglo Boer war in the vicinity (50 km radius). The rooms are neat but small, but adequate for a stopover. The breakfast is the normal spread with omelettes and eggs to order to your choice.

  Value for money B&B in Ladysmith, KZN

  Convent Hill B&B operates from a renovated colonial house near the La Verna Hospital in Ladysmith. There are a few rooms inside the house as well as a few rooms in other buildings outside the house. We stayed in the main house, renting two rooms for two days. The rooms were very comfortable, and are fitted with appliances such as TV, kettle, fridge and tea/coffee station. The bathrooms are huge and clean. There is a good sized pool on the property. A big bonus was the air-conditioning as we stayed over during a heat wave and it was always a welcoming relief to retire to our cool rooms. The B&B is conveniently located near a hospital and shopping centers. Access to the property is through a remote controlled gate. I did not see a star rating for this B&B, but would rate it at as 3 star establishment. It is neat and good value for money. My only criticism would be some attention to details e.g. our room toilet seat was in poor condition, our TV did not have a remote and some of the furniture has seen better days. The staff were generally helpful and our rooms were kept spotlessly clean. I would recommend this B&B to visitors looking for a good value proposition.

  All good just some detail required by owners

  Was pleasantly surprised by this accommodation and facilities a close to Balinese tranquility prevailed through the premises. Cant fault it would just urge the team to look at small details Super breakfast and manager on duty during breakfast a super asset to the owners. Well recommended

  Quiet and very clean Guest House

  Stayed for two nights while travelling through Ladysmith and visiting battlefields. Our room was a small compact double but very clean with excellent bed linen, very quiet at night. The communal sitting area had free wifi and was very comfortable, the swimming pool area was lovely and we had it to ourselves. We had two very good evening meals and breakfasts were also very good. The staff are welcoming and attentive, very pleasant.

  Very affordable and good value for money

  Beautiful guesthouse situated at a very central spot in Ladysmith. Rooms are clean. Staff are friendly. Safe parking. Good security. Very affordable. Pretty gardens. Nice size swimming pool. Pleasant atmosphere.
