  Rustic cottages. Quiet peaceful beautiful surroundings. Public transportation is accessible if you walk to the main road. Washer and dryer located in a nearby building. May want to buy groceries in Galway.

  I want to live here

  This was an amazing trip. The whole town was super cute and everyone was really accommodating. The cottages were clean, warm and very well taken care of. We are planning on going back next year. Great time and well worth it!

  Real Ireland at it's best!!

  Could. Not. Have. Been. Happier!!! We loved everything about our stay (except no top sheets!) The wild Irish countryside was magnificent! We loved hiking in the area surrounding our cottage, although you must have boots to do so. The site was well situated for day trips to The Cliffs and surrounding towns. We went horseback riding on real Connemara ponies; ate fabulous breakfasts, lunches and dinners at a different pub each day. Local supermarket was well stocked for our family of 9. Cottage was not fancy, but that suited us as we are not fancy people. Pauline was the manager and she was fabulous!! Went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even real peat for the fireplace! She made us feel like honored family.

  Disappointing

  Pauline was lovely and friendly however the cottage needs updating and TLC, lovely and quiet up long lane but mould in twin room, uncomfortable sofa and no smoke alarms in house which Pauline said would be back in January so we bought our own....

  If you like to stay out in the country where it is quiet and beautiful, this is the place.

  I stayed at The Connemara Country Cottages for a week in August of 2019. There were three couples and we used the Cottage as a base for exploring County Galway. We drove to the Ferry and visited the Aran Islands, spent a day in Galway City, loved Skeffington's and the Free Walking Tour, walked around Oughterard and ate at some of the restaurants, all good. Went to a Castle and had dinner and a show. We also visited the Cliffs of Moher. The Cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Pauline was really nice and helpful. Being out in the Irish Countryside was a dream come true for me. I saw many rainbows and the sheep were frolicking in the lane.
