Not Far From AirportThis hotel is not far from the airport. Unfortunately, there aren't enough staff members for the hotel shuttle to run throughout the day. I flew in at night, so had to use Uber. The staff was nice and gave dinner suggestions the next day. Only a burger place was within walking distance. Other eateries required a car ride. The room was fine (mine had two beds and a seating area). Breakfast was complimentary and pretty basic. There were packets and hot water for me to make oatmeal. Breakfast meat and eggs were also available.

"OPTIONAL" extra charges aren't so optionalI'm giving this the lowest rating possible because of their unethical, reprehensible (ane likely illegal) practice of charging you more than your quoted rate. They tack on a $1.75 "safe fee" whether you use the room safe or not. This is not a government fee, just extra profit for the hotel. This is not clearly identified in advance. Just a hard to read sign at the check in desk. The sign says it's an "optional" charge and you "just have to call the hotel within 30 days of checking out" and it will be credited. Well, I don't believe anything is "optional" if you have to jump through hoops to get it back (even a phone call). I asked to have it removed when I checked out. The front desk attendant said he couldn't do it but I could call. He looked around for a while and finally looked in his personal cell phone and wrote down a number. It wasn't the hotel number. I looked it up and it was a Realtor in Woodland. (I'm guessing it was the owner of the property.) So after I'm done traveling, I call the hotel (not the Realtor) and ask to have it removed. The desk person says there's no one there at that time (middle of the day) that can authorize it! But I can leave my name and number and they'll get back to me. Someone was supposed to be coming in later that day that could do it. After never hearing back, I called again about 5 days later and got the same story. I asked for the General Manager and was told they weren't on the property. However, this time, the front desk person looked up my folio and tried to do it. There seemed to be a problem but she said she'd take care of it. After at least 6 transactions later on my credit card (a $1.75 credit, then a double debit then a couple more $1.75 credits, and at least 2 more temporary transactions that didn't stick on my credit card account), I was finally taken care of. It is not industry practice to be without a General Manager on the premeses or anyone who can deal with customer issues. What's ridiculous is that if they had just quoted me a room rate of $2 more, I still would have made the reservation. It's not the $1.75 that really irks me; It's that the owner of this property is trying to take advantage of their customers. I will never be staying at this property again, and it's bothered me so much that it will be a long time before I consider staying at another Comfort/Quality/Choice hotel (and I'm a member!). I would love to have left this review on the Choice Hotels web site as well but apparently you have to review a property quite soon after your stay and this experience took me several weeks to work out.

MINUS 1 STAR REVIEW - DIRTY ROOM AND RUDE MANAGER, ARAMThe list: toilet not cleaned, bed previously slept in (sheet indentations on one side), used hand towels, used shampoo and soap in shower, dirty table tops and sofa surfaces. All indications were that our room was not cleaned before renting to us. During COVID when everything should be very carefully cleaned, this hotel falls way below acceptable standards. When I complained to the manager, Aram, he was only defensive and said that was virtually impossible for the room not to be cleaned. He interrupted me when I tried to talk. Never have I had such rude treatment at a hotel. We stay at a lot of Comfort Suites and have always had a good experience. This man needs to get out of the hospitality business!

could not check in!we arrived last night at midnight - with a reservation - but there was no one at the front desk to check us in! - we waited for 30 minutes, we searched all over - walked into office, kitchen, bathrooms etc.. no one around, we tried calling but the front desk phone was ringing - from me! - so we left - and hoping our credit card isn't charged for a no-show when clearly we were there but hotel staff was not!

Don't stay at this filthy motel!!There was blood on comforter on my bed I discovered in the middle of the night (they do not launder comforters between guests!). Room wall had blood on it and had to ask maid to wipe off. The carpet was dirty and stained and found a toothpick on the carpet after I unpacked. The room smelled bad. Tub/shower did not drain so took a shower in a foot of water. No rubber mat provided in slippery tub. Wifi did not work both stays and I was given a number to call Tech Support. It turns out that there was a problem with the motel's router and I spent my valuable time instead of the Front Desk person handling it. Mold in tub/shower. See pictures. Charged daily for Safe in closet that I did not use and had to ask for credit. They did offer that I could move to a different room both stays after the one night of staying in filthy room but I had to do it all by myself and I had a lot of luggage. They are running on a skeleton staff and should be closed until they have a well trained staff and maintenance person. Parking lot had garbage/paper etc. all over it. No manager there most of the time and the people who were at the front desk were not trained nor the maids working there. The owner of the motel does NOT care if the guests who stay there are satisfied. I would be afraid to eat their breakfast in a bag.
