  Muy amable, pero uno de los principales problemas de limpieza

  El personal fue muy amable en el check-in. Los desayunos fueron buenos y bien atendidos por el personal. Volvimos a la habitación a las 11:00 el primer día y las camas habían sido despojados pero no hechas de nuevo. Las toallas habian sido sustituidas por lo que sabíamos que el servicio de limpieza estuvo en la habitación. El empleado de recepción era muy servicial y nos trajo sábanas apenas las solicitamos. Hablamos con el jefe del servicio de limpieza por la mañana y ella pidió disculpas. Ella no ofreció nada por nuestro problema ni nosotros pedimos nada. Si estás en la ciudad para Notre Dame este hotel está un poco fuera del centro de la ciudad. Hay otras dos Comfort Suites más cerca del campus. Felicitaciones a todo el personal por su amabilidad pero el personal de limpieza necesita mejorar.

  Perfect for Notre Dame game.

  We stayed at this location for the Notre Dame vs. Navy game. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms seemed almost new. It is an easy five minutes to several restaurants in the area and while away from the craziness of Notre Dame football games, it was only about a 15 drive to the stadium with traffic. The breakfast was amazing. They had a lady making to order omelets.

  When making reservations make sure you deal directly with Comfort Suites or price compare before you commit.

  In November 2019, I Googled Comfort Suites before making reservations for a trip to South Bend IN in January 2020. In my haste, when I clicked on what I thought was Comfort Suites I entered Reservations.com website instead of Comfort Suites directly. It still did not register what had happened until I actually checked out of the Comfort Suites on January 13, 2020. The desk clerk on duty charged my VISA, by mistake, and charged me for the 3 nights that I had booked through and paid for to Reservations.com. The Comfort Suites clerk did not check me out using the "virtual credit card" that I paid for to Reservations.com. Therefore, my VISA credit card was charged twice.....once by Reservations.com and once by Comfort Suites...for the same 3 nights. I called Comfort Suites directly and asked what was going on. They researched the problem and discovered the mistake and Comfort Suites refunded the amount that they charged me directly by them. However, I learned what Reservation.com charged me was no deal for the time I spent at Comfort Suites than I would have paid had I gone through Comfort Suites directly. And Reservations.com charged me $19.99 twice for the pleasure of doing business with them!! CAUTION: be very sure, unless you particularly want to do business with a 3rd party, that you are getting the best value for your stay. I learned my lesson and will be far more cautious in the future when I make reservations for anything...hotel, airplane or rental car.

  Lovely hotel newly renovated.

  I stay at Comfort Suites often when travelling through the USA. I found the South Bend location particularly impressive during my stay this week. The hotel is bright and newly renovated. Very clean. Comfy beds. But the best part of our experience was the friendly staff. Our stay was during the corona virus outbreak and the front desk took extra care to use a disinfectant cloth to wipe down the pen I was signing with. We werent able to use the pool or eat their famous breakfast because of the safety precautions for the virus. However, everything about our stay was great. The manager was extremely helpful with restaurant take out suggestions and directions. I would strongly recommend this Comfort Suites.

  Great job!

  We stayed at this hotel for a much-needed weekend getaway. The room we got went well beyond our expectations! Setting the faucets on the shower mode was confusing, but if I had been paying attention to the directions that were hung on the shower curtain bar; it would have been clearer. Due to the COVID stuff going on; I had to sign up for a time at the pool. This became an advantage, though. Too many times when I've stayed at a hotel; I've had to deal with unruly kids and their clueless parents when I've either tried to enjoy the pool or simply get some sleep. While I'm okay with sharing the pool; it was really nice to have an "adult swim." I love the fact that the property has a sauna--you don't see that much anymore. Unfortunately due to COVID, and no fault of their own; it was closed. Housekeeping accidentally missed our room in cleaning. No big deal; there's a lot going on, cleaning-wise. But we did appreciate the management getting us fresh towels and taking the used ones. If we ever pass this way again; we will be sure to stay here.
