  No Covid-19 safety

  My husband, brother and I just stayed here for an overnight. There are signs that require guests to wear masks throughout the hotel. However, many of the guests and most of the staff, including the CLEANING CREW were not wearing masks. The signs were purely for show. Not a safe place to stay during Covid-19.

  Not a great Stay

  Hotel is right off freeway. Parking is great. Beds very hard. I was on second floor so I had noise from third floor above me and room next to me. My room was also over the pool so that produced noise. Needless to say I did not sleep well. Very few staff, only saw one person at front desk my whole time. Room had red stain on carpet. Asked for first floor but nothing available. Choice Hotels has no way to add floor preference to your profile which means you have to call the hotel ahead of time. Staff that was there was pretty robotic, but she was probably just tired. They looked overworked. Off freeway but in low rent area with junkyards.

  It's convenient to freeway, has the usual amenities: fridge, microwave, flat screen. Super fast check in. Cordial staff. Breakfast is wrapped pastries, Greek yogurt, & a waffle maker. Room is comfortable.

  Not following Covid-19 CDC guidelines

  This hotel was a nightmare. Guests were not wearing masks congregating in the lobby. A few of the employees I saw were only wearing masks over their mouths. One guests even shook her head at my family for wearing masks as she walked past us. Nothing is contactless here, as well. Aside from these unsafe practices in a global pandemic, the location of this property is sketchy. A man who owns the storage lot next door came over to me as I was unpacking my car (no mask) and proceeded to ask me about my Washington plates. He proceeded to spew Fox News propaganda. I did not feel safe, so I moved my car to the other side of the parking lot. Freeway noise kept us up most of the night, and a worry that our car would be broken into was not something we expected. Stay at the Sheraton Turtle Bay. We stayed their on our way down to California and it was worth the extra money for peace of mind.

  Not following statewide mask mandate due to COVID-19

  The person checking people in was also the manager on duty and was not wearing their mask properly - it was below her nose the entire time and she made no attempts to adjust it. I had to wait in the lobby for approximately 20 minutes watching her expose countless guests to her maskless face. There were a few guests who came and went through the lobby who were not wearing masks but I know it's not the hotel responsibility to police guests. There are signs posted everywhere to follow protocol but it's just for show. There is wasn't any soap in the public restroom in the lobby, the lobby reeked of weed. The parking is a disaster due to many trailers, boats, and other big rigs taking more spots necessary for their rigs. I called Comfort Suites corporate who told me I needed to report it to the manager on duty. I did as they said and the response was we will take care of it all to discover the employee did not correct how she was wearing her mask. Very frustrating given the state of the world.
