  Excellent accommodation but chaotic management

  We booked on line the day before and received an immediate response offering us accommodation. The guest house is in the middle of a very poor township but in itself was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff had no idea of our booking despite the fact that we had paid our deposit, and although the website insists on payment in US$ they had no concept of that currency. The TV did not show any satellite channels and there was no wi- fi. The chef was away at the Kazangulu lodge so no breakfast or any other meal was possible. Francistown had no water for our stay ( no fault of the lodge) and an extensive power cut: however the lodge had a powerful generator so we were not affected by this. The following morning we waited until 8am for someone to arrive ( we were the only people there apart from a night watchman)! As we had a long journey ahead, and eventually wrote the owner a note to which we added the balance of the amount owing, with a deduction for the breakfast which was not served. So although we cannot fault the quality and comfort of the actual accommodation we feel that the lodge seriously needs more competent management if it is to survive among whatever competition is offered in Francistown, and that the description of facilities is exaggerated and misleading.

  A place to stay

  Very reasonable in prices but far from the the major roads and we struggled to get to the place.The good thing about this place is that they have another one in Kasane .If your are on a tour trip this the place. Everything was functioning properly and staff were welcoming us with both hands and we're very helpful .
