  Comfortable And Affordable

  A fairly standard, no frills hotel. Room was average in size and very clean. The bathroom was a little on the small size. All the expected amenities (toothbrush, kettle, etc) were included. The staff was efficient and the location only a five minute walk from the station. Good place to stay if you need a bed, quiet and clean room which will not break the bank.

  Great location near station

  We had a modern, twin room with fridge and desk. Not overly spacious but adequate for our needs. Wonderful to be able to control the air conditioning and many extras on offer (we needed more pillows). The breakfast is excellent: advertised as Continental but includes big range of dishes such as scrambled eggs, chicken and sushi. Very friendly staff who worked hard to understand our English! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

  Great to Find a Familar BRAND NAME Hotel in Japan

  This "Comfort Inn" is the same affordable quality that we find in the US. Yes - the furnishings are Japanese of course, but it was nice and felt familiar. We really liked the free breakfast. The Japanese guests ate salad and yakisoba. We ate cereal, yogurt and fruit. Ok - we also ate some yakisoba. We could have eaten the precooked waffle - but were in a rush to catch a ferry to Sado.

  Good base to explore Niigata

  The Comfort Hotel Niigata is in a fantastic location just a short 5 minute walk to Niigata train station. Our room was small as expected, but it was cosy and clean. There was very limited space for baggage as floor space was at a minimum. Aircon in the room worked well, as did the WiFi. The free breakfast in the morning was limited in its options but the basics were there, such as cereals, coffee, eggs, fruit and a few hot items. We enjoyed what we had. Coffee was available in the afternoon for free as well. Staff were really pleasant and friendly and we had no complaints with our stay. It was a good base to explore the city.

  Good Value

  Small room size to be expected in Japan; however efficient staff , good amenities , terrific breakfast and closeness to train station make this hotel good value for money.. Vending machines and washing machines very useful. Restaurants nearby.
