  Good basic business hotel, great location, cheap

  It is a clean & simple, but sufficient, hotel. Stayed there multiple days and did not have any complaints. The rooms are small, as are most hotel rooms in Japan. This is right opposite the train station, and the taxi stand. The river is 3-4 blocks away - easy walking distance. Restaurants and shops are 1-2 km away - either a short walk or a cheap taxi ride away. The convenience store is right behind the hotel. Fresh and decent free breakfast every morning. And, they have a great coffee maker in the lobby - that grinds and makes good coffee - from 3 p.m. onwards. Laundry machines available, but you have to get your own detergent (a trip to the convenience store). We got a cheap company rate. The lobby staff was always courteous and very helpful - it is, after all, Japan.

  Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation

  We spent two nights here during the Golden Week vacation. The staff are very friendly, answering all our questions and then enquiring how we had enjoyed our day when we came back in the evening. We were given several coupons for free or discounted entry into attractions around town. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, the buffet breakfast was good, and free coffee available every afternoon and evening. I would not hesitate to come back again. Being able to use a guest laundry was a nice bonus.

  Budget hotel with tiny bed for a couple

  We stayed here for 1 night on our way back to Tokyo from Hokkaido. When we arrived by car quite late at night we were asked to park the car a bit away from the hotel parking next to the station (2 minute walk), which felt a bit awkward but we did receive a card to drive out for free in the morning, The knowledge of English seems quite limited at this hotel, however they have quite a lot of information nicely written in English on cards, which is helpful. The room is very tiny, and so is the bed for couple, although we did sleep quite well. It is quite annoying though that 1 person will have to climb over the other to get out of the bed. The bathroom is quite small as well, with a very small shower head. The breakfast is basic, but has some western choices and quite good croissants. Good for one night, but would not stay here for several nights in a row.

  Good location, clean room

  Typical Japanese hotel. Very small room but clean. Location is good. It's just next to the train station. However, entertainment is at another side of the train exit, and always need to pass through the train station to go for dining / shopping. Breakfast is included and food variety is ok given that it's a budget hotel (though the price is not very budget). Free coffee is offered at the ground floor, together with some city map for dining and public bath. Also a PC free for use in public area. A good place to stay if you need to catch up early train next day.

  Good location

  This hotel is located in the front of the Kitakami Station. it is very convenient to access to Shinkan-sen. The room was clean but small, although it was acceptable. The price was cheap same as in the U.S. Free breakfast service as well as welcome drink (coffee) was available. Very nice service. The front staffs were very kind. Because this hotel has the coin laundry room (self laundry service), it would be good for family as well as the people who need long stay.
