Relaxing StopWe love to stay at the Comfort Inn in Terrace when we visit from Prince Rupert. Its affordable, newer, clean with friendly staff. Breakfast is included and is really good for a hotel continental and the hot tub really lovely after a long drive.

An excellent choice! We were trying to be weekend warriors on a good weathered August Saturday and decided to stay the night in Terrace. After dinner, we decided on staying on one of the newer hotels in town - the Comfort Inn & Suites Terrace. The parking space is accessible and aplenty just off the Yellowhead highway. We noticed also that they have their own shuttle bus to the airport - convenient for those on a business trip and saves money from hiring a taxi to get to the airport and vice versa. The compulsory pandemic measures were in place - there was an abundance of posters and signs about handwashing and physical distancing, staff wearing masks, and seating areas were very limited to discourage people from staying too long. The staff was efficient and friendly as they sorted out our accommodation for the night. We noted that there are business center computer desks available by the entrance lobby. Their breakfast buffet was understandably closed, but they do have the option to pack a to-go breakfast bag for you. We picked one king-size bedroom that was on the second floor. The elevators were smooth and quiet and the overall interiors of the hallways and reception area were simple and neutral with a pop of colours here and there. The whole floor was quiet, which was a good omen for a good night's sleep. Just an important note to add, there is a vending machine for drinks on the second floor. Our room was clean and welcoming. The bathroom and washroom are very clean and have toilet amenities and supplies. Glad to find out there is an extra set of towels near the sink area. The bathtub is conveniently low, which is good for short and mobility-challenged folks to get in the shower with no issue. The lights in the bathroom are also automated, so it turns itself off until you set it to be turned on. The mini-living room is a good additional touch in the room - it makes it easy to eat some of your take out dinners or just hang out with your companion and watch the large screen TV. There is also a small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker in the room which makes it more convenient to stay in. I just wish the small fridge had to be opened with a key. There is an office desk as well for those who are staying for business and free wifi access with the password written on your room card key sleeve. The bed feels quite comfortable; my partner saying he did not wake up a single time during our sleep. There are lots of pillows and fresh smelling sheets. The drapery also helps in shutting out the bright summer sky or outside lights if you need a darker environment to fall asleep. There is airconditioning in the room with the control pad mounted on the wall so you can easily change the room temperature according to your preference by following the posted instructions on the pad. We had a very restful sleep and we appreciated all the small comforts this hotel provides for such a good night. Checking out is around 11 AM and you can opt to just drop your key or talk to the front desk staff to assist you. We know there are more amenities and facilities available in the hotel - but we were very happy with their room accommodations. Overall, our experience was excellent and we would definitely rank this fairly new hotel to be one of the top three in Terrace. Highly recommended!

An Excellent Choice in YXTThe Comfort Inn (Terrace) opened in the Spring of 2017. I think it, along with the Holiday Inn, are welcomed additions to the YXT accommodation scene because, to be blunt, Terraces other hotels are getting a bit long in the tooth. Theyre looking old and tired. By contrast, hotels like the Comfort Inn are bright, vibrant and modern. In short, they feel warm and welcoming. As a frequent traveler, this is something I certainly appreciate. Located on the outskirts of Terrace (heading towards Prince Rupert), the Comfort Inn is a few minutes drive from the bustling downtown core. For some, this might be an inconvenience, but it was a non-issue for me; after all, its not like Terrace is a major metropolitan city like, say, Vancouver. As such, even when youre on the outskirts of town youre never really far from downtown. In addition, I found that the location resulted in a more restful sleep because I didnt have to hear the rowdy hooligans wandering the streets at all hours of the morning something you regularly contend with downtown. As for the actual hotel, it is a relatively new structure. The exteriors and interiors of the building are clean & welcoming and there is ample free parking on site. The main lobby is bright and colourful very contemporary with splashes of colour here and there. Even in the age of COVID, the staff at this Comfort Inn have managed to make the lobby feel warm and inviting all while adhering to existing Provincial Health protocols. Like most Comfort Inn hotels, this one does not feature an on-site restaurant. Pre-COVID, they did have a complimentary buffet service; however, it has since been discontinued so as to comply with current health regulations. In its place, the hotel is now offering a bagged to-go breakfast. In order to access it, all you have to do is fill out a card indicating what youd like in your bag be it fresh fruit, pastries, or handsome breakfast sandwiches. Its a nice service especially if youre in a hurry but just remember to select more than a single croissant if you want something substantive ;) In terms of rooms, Ive stayed at this Comfort Inn on two separate occasions and have been impressed each time. The accommodations here are bright, clean, well-appointed and contain all of the amenities weve come to expect of a modern hotel: Complimentary WiFi, air conditioning, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, snazzy work desk, flat screen LCD TV, quality sheets and pillows. Additionally, for those traveling with furry friends, the pet friendly version of the king room is quite nice and mostly pet friendly. I say mostly because the set-up of the sink in the bathroom still provides an opportunity for a small pet (i.e.: cat) to get inside . . . believe me, youll have a heck of a time getting them out! Besides that, though, I have no qualms about the rooms. Finally, what this Comfort Inn shows me is that not all Comfort Inn hotels are the same. Compare this one to the hotel in Chilliwack, for example, and the difference is night and day: The Chilliwack hotel is older; the furnishings are starting to look dated; the beds are caved in at the middle; and their various shades of brown throughout are depressing. The Terrace hotel, on the other hand, is bright, vibrant and full of life as this review has hopefully made clear. Indeed, 2 years ago I declared that the Holiday Inn Express was the Best [hotel] in Terrace. I will now amend that to say its basically a coin toss between that property and this Comfort Inn.

Very clean and comfortableI was very impressed with my first stay here. The room was spacious, and extremely clean. Everything was in it's place, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good and prepared with COVID in mind. I'd stay here again on my next visit.
