  HORRIBLE

  Let me start by saying the not a single employee had a mask or gloves including the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping or the breakfast attendant. No hand sanitizers anywhere in sight either. No social distancing between employee's either as far as I witnessed in the halls and at the front desk. We had to be moved from room 514 because there was mold growing on the bed skirt and on the desk chair..GROSS. Goes to show just how well these rooms are cleaned. Then there was the crazy lady sitting by my room door arguing with the front desk on her phone... Front desk employee Stephanie needs to be re-trained in customer service. I was so disappointed that I checked out one day early. Will NEVER stay there again.

  Great place to stay

  I stayed the night here to see if this would be the hotel I would use for our wedding block. I was met with a very friendly staff from check in to the housekeepers and breakfast host. Rose at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, we even had a laugh or two through our masks. The lobby area is very spacious. Breakfast area was clean and food that could be offered during this COVID time was individually wrapped muffins and bagels. Yogurt, apples, oranges and bananas available, hot coffee and a juice machine. The bed was very comfortable, the room very clean and well stocked. Easy on and off the highway and very close to restaurants and coffee shops. We were right around the corner from Mt. Dora. My week day stay was under 100.00 which is hard to find. I will be back and I'm bringing a lot of wedding folks with me with confidence.

  Room smells like a wet dog

  When entering the building a sign is posted on the door recommending masks. Great, this made me feel good. However, none of the staff was wearing a mask. I also observed a maintenance person fingering the candy in the candy dish. No Covid avoidance here. One of the two room keys would not work, but fortunately the other did. Upon entering the room the smell was quite off putting, it smelled like wet dog, or perhaps cat. My wife said it just stinks. I noticed that the sofa was covered with white pet fur. I brushed some of it off, but decided it's not my job, and is not healthy to do so. I attempted to call the front desk from the room phone, but the phone did not work. I then attempted to call the phone number for the hotel shown on the phone, but a fax machine answered. On a hunch I then called the fax number and a person did answer. The fax number and the voice number were reversed on the phone number card. The front desk answered and I requested that housekeeping come up and clean the sofa as well as the food crumbs from the foot stool. She said no one was available but she would move me to another room. I declined since pets are allowed and I had no assurance that another room would be any better. I did however go down to the front desk to get a sheet to cover the sofa. I also asked for a manager, but was told that there isn't one today. When I wonder were the windows last cleaned? No masks, fingering food by staff, wet dog smell, inoperable phone, pet fur on sofa. I won't be back, and encourage other potential guests to be forewarned. Photos attached.

  Reservation for 5 nights/ only stayed one

  In town for business. Young lady at front desk (Mellissa?) extremely rude and unwilling to help us with local info. When I complained the room smelled like cigarettes, she sent someone up with room spray. There were many vacant rooms, but she would not change our room. We checked out the next day.

  Long stay

  The best recommendation for this hotel is it's proximity to Advent Waterman Hospital. The hotel itself seems worn, the rooms sparsely stocked with amenities. There is a laundry which is handy and a pool. The "hot" breakfast is frozen sandwiches microwaved by the staff and instant oatmeal. Staff are friendly and cleaning staff helpful.
