What a rollercoaster stayI reserved 5 rooms for 2 nights and then per their rules I cancelled 1 room that I did not end up needing. I was quoted 199 per night, because there was a game at UW. When I checked a few days before finding that I could get the second night for 139 through Hotels.com, I called twice to see if I could get the second night for a lower rate. The manager was not in so I left a message for the someone to call me back, I received no return call. When I arrived I asked if I could get the lower rate. The assistant manager could not give us the lower rate. I had mentioned that I would cancel the second night and then go through Hotels to get the lower rate. I was told that they would still charge me the night at the rate we were quoted when we reserved the room. Even though I was cancelling 24 hours ahead. So we left it as it was. Then on Sunday when we were to leave we were only charged 119 for the second night, for which I was glad. Because of weather we could not leave and had to stay Sunday night. As it turned out one of our party had to get to Denver to catch a flight on Monday morning, when we went down to check him out they would not cancel the room. When I tried to speak with the general manager/owner to take the room off, and told her we would get corporate involved she said go ahead they are independently owned, giving the impression she could do what she wanted. As I left I tossed the room key onto the counter, which she told my son I threw it at her and hit her in the face. It did not it landed on the counter nowhere near her. We had to get Corporate involved in order to get that room refunded. When I had reserved the rooms by calling the hotel directly I had to speak with the person who I was told was the manager, who turned out to be the owner, in order to get a reduced rate. She does not empower her staff us their good judgement to help her fill the hotel. I must say the staff did help to make the stay as comfortable as possible especially Dee the assistant manager. Dee was very personable and pleasant. The rooms were comfortable but the design is not the best as there is no sink in the bathroom it is in the entryway. The room heater had no way to turn the fan off, so when the heat reached the temperature set on the thermostat it just blew cold air until the temperature went down to turn the heater back on. Stay at your own risk, the owner gives the impression she is only in it for the money. To many conflicting statements from staff and owner.

Wonderful! My family and I were passing through and ended up staying here. Convenient location and the front desk girl ANGEL was absolutely wonderful!! She made our stay absolutely perfect and we will definitely be back because of her. She was very attentive and was very calm and collected even with a lobby full of guest! The pool was a very nice size and the rooms were well maintained especially for the price. Comfortable beds and the breakfast was delicious!

Avoid this hotel if traveling with pets. Deceptive advertising.I booked a room online through the hotels website. Their website indicates the hotel is pet friendly with a fee. During online booking I selected a room at which point it also confirmed as pet friendly with an additional fee (later confirmed by the assistant manager). I got to the hotel after a 11hr drive and was informed the room I booked did not allow pets and there was no way they would allow me to stay in the room. The assistant manager confirmed the site didnt indicate anything about pets not being allowed in the specific room. The name of the hotel is also deceptive. The only way the hotel is near the university is that its located in Laramie. It is literally the furthest hotel away from the university in Laramie. For the basis of COVID-19, the desk clerk and the assistant manager were not following their mandatory mask requirements. The clerk had a mask on; however, was pulled down to her chin. The assistant manager was not wearing one at all. Since my reservation was denied by the hotel, Im unable to provide feedback on the actual facility and amenities; however, based on my experience would not recommend the hotel.

KIDS !!NOT "near U of Wyoming!", in fact completely on the other side of town (In fairness Laramie is not a large town). Nice room on 2nd floor but small kids upstairs were jumping on floor and apparently running in the hall and slamming the door late in the evening. Also someone tried to use a key card at the door until I said it was occupied. When I went to the ice machine next door, my card would not work so I had to go downstairs to the receptionist and have her open it. Then I had to wait for computer to "re-boot" my code before card would work. She did recommend a great restaurant downtown Otherwise it was fine after the rugrats wore them selves out. Well off the Interstate so it was quiet from road noise. No breakfast due to Covid. BUT, I will return next summer on the way to the mountains.

needs to step up virus complianceThis is a fine value hotel and our room was great for the price. But this location needs to take the virus more seriously. Despite signs mandating mask usage, staff compliance was spotty, including a staff member who fixed a light that went out in our room without a mask (while we were in the room wearing masks to protect him). I later saw the individual behind the check-in desk with another staff member, also without a mask, in close proximity. Overall, mask usage in Laramie is spotty, and I suspect that mask usage remains controversial (all science aside). Really no excuse at this point in the pandemic for staff not to take precautions, especially when entering customer rooms, and failing follow the hotel's own stated rules.
