  A nice, new Inn, but . . .

  I recently spent a night at this location and found it to be a very nice, modern inn with all the latest fixtures and amenities. I could have rated this a 5 star stay expect for one thing that put a major blight on my experience. When I received my invoice the morning of departure I discovered an additional charge on my invoice that was not mentioned at check-in. I fully understand all the taxes that are typically attached to motel stays but this inn also slips in an unmentioned charge they call a Property Improvement Plan fee. Its not a required tax its simply an additional fee they collect for their sole benefit. Its only $2.00 so most patrons wont waste their time challenging it but the fact is, its nothing short of pricing deception that fleeces their patrons. (Multiply this by the number of rooms rented each night and you can see the tidy sum they are skimming from their customers each night.) The bottom line is you end up paying more for the room than they state up front. Its a shame the management of such a nice, new inn resorts to pricing deception to pad their pockets. Fees necessary to maintain their inn should be included in their advertised and posted prices, not deceptively extracted from their patrons.

  2020 Airattack Car Race

  We checked and we were told that they had no hot water and that they hoped a plumber would be coming tomorrow. Well that didnt happen! No manager to be found of course. So because of no hot water no breakfast either. If I ever come back I will stay at the Wyndham hotel across the street. Also left for day and came back to room not even done and maids left for the day already!

  Be Careful

  This is a nice hotel I always try to stay at a Quality brand hotel when I travel. Things are different with the craziest going on in the world today. We enjoyed the stay up till we went to the car parked in the back part of the lot near the little shed. We got in late and that was the only open place. We forget to lock the car totally our fault. The car was broken into and several things stolen. We reported it to the front desk and her response was Oh you too. Cameras don't pick up that part of the parking lot so no evidence about who did it. This was not the hotel fault and they helped as much as possible. But the fact is watch your things and lock your car.

  Best Place to Stay in Independence

  They're doing a good job dealing with things during Covid. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping did not come into room during our 4 night stay but were very good at supplying us with clean towels and emptying trash cans that we left outside our door, as well as supplying us with more coffee when requested. Coffee and teas always available in lobby and usual Comfort Inn breakfast selection available buffet style. Lobby area kept very clean. Pool closed due to Covid but fitness room is open.

  Very clean and fairly new interior

  Found this to be reasonably priced, plenty of room in our King bed room. Everything seemed well maintained and clean. Front desk person was a bit disgruntled and not masked in COVID times. Bed is comfortable. Reading lights are provided, which is a nice touch. Our room had shower only with a regular shower head and an additional hand held. Plenty of water pressure. Wifi is very slow, however.
