It has potential...but it's got work to do.I saw a number of positive reviews for this property both here and on other sites, so I figured I would give it a try since our family was passing through Tulsa to points east. We really had a mixed bag, and the hotel has promise by virtue of its location and newness...but it has some things to work out. -Our check in was...less than enthusiastic, as the woman working the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood and was pretty curt with us. I tried being nice, using pleasantries...but she just wanted to check us in and be done with us. Didn't bother to mention times for breakfast, pool, etc. Just "here's your cards", and that's it--no "thanks for staying", "have a pleasant stay"...anything. It was like we were an inconvenience to her. And while this isn't a big issue if you're just passing through (like we were), it may be an issue if you're staying at this hotel and want to go to the Hard Rock Resort right across the Interstate, as the front desk clerk will be the one that calls your shuttle and (as we saw happen to someone else) she barks at you if you ask for a status on it or ask for it to be called when some other party has done so. -The hotel is relatively new, and the fixtures both in the rooms and in the common areas show this. Little to no wear and tear, so it appears they're being maintained. -The hotel is heavily fragranced in the hallways--this isn't a big deal for many folks (nor was it for us), but I know friends with perfume allergies that would likely suffocate in the hallway before they got to their rooms, so just FYI if you or someone else in your party has a perfume allergy. -The complimentary breakfast is rather spartan and (as we found out the hard way--see the clerk having a bad day above) ends at 9am. Little to no fruit, pastries/bread, or options other than waffles, eggs, sausage, toast...and these options appear to be there to check some sort of box instead of being there for the convenience of the customer. And when 9am hits--they pick everything up. So if you get down at 8:55 and want to have breakfast...well, hope you got everything your first trip though. Most places recognize if someone got there at 8:55 and give you a few extra minutes...but not this place. -The rooms were nice, had DirecTV and properly set-up HDTVs. Beds were comfortable, but it was a shame I had to chase down a housekeeper to get more than just one towel in our room (we registered with the correct number of those staying). Honestly, I've been to much better Comfort Inn locations that didn't look as nice as this one does. If you're looking for a cheaper option than the Hard Rock, and you can deal with the rude front desk help or the spartan breakfast that cuts off at 9am, then here you go. But if you're coming through with families...you may want to look elsewhere.

new hotel and great stayI was a bit concerned on arrival when the front desk clerk came out on the phone. (It did appear to be a business call.) However, she quickly set it aside and gave me her full attention. I was checked in quickly and given the usual info. The room was clean and everything appeared fresh. There was a bit of noice from the hall, but that wasn't bad. The shower water pressure was strong. Breakfast was well laid out an the fruit was fresh. Check-out was quick and expedient.

Facility nice everything else averageStopped for quick overnight so was not looking for a lot of "extra", and that is what I got. Facility appears to be very new or recently upgraded. Room fixtures were clean and everything worked. Room did have a odd smell, maybe like concrete dust. Breakfast was simple and ends right at 9am (don't be there at 9:01). Front desk will call for a shuttle to take you Hard Rock Casino but we drove over since plenty of parking there and we are not going to drink! Very average for a Comfort Inn property.

No thanksWhen I travel, I like to stay at a newer hotel where everything is clean and shiny. We picked this one to be in a nice area of town and close to the airport. It was also the newest in the area. There was no problem with the cleanliness or location, but I wouldn't stay here again. The room we were in was HUGE with 2 queen beds. However, they had just a little dorm sized fridge shoved up in the corner with an ice bucket and coffee maker on top. No loveseat or chair to take up some of the space. It felt weird and kind of "seedy". It's like they built this nice, new hotel, then ran out of money when it came time to furnish the rooms. I wish I had taken pictures. I did look and our room definitely isn't pictured on their website.

Loud door slamming, paper thin walls, not a mask to be seenIve stayed at Holiday Inn Expreses all over the country and a few overseas, and this place was the worst Holiday Inn Express experience Ive ever had. No mask worn by the clerk working check in, absolute paper thin walls, doors slamming at all hours of the day and night, in addition to car engine noises that sounded like the car was running in the room. No masks on the other six guests I encountered in the lobby and halls, except for me - why would they feel the need when staff doesnt set the example? You can have as many signs as possible around but when people are emboldened by a bad example, its not going to make a difference. I didnt bother getting their to-go breakfast since other guests were breathing all over the to go bags, coffee station, and lobby maskless. The thing that irritated me the most is the complete lack of a response nor caring from local hotel management after a complaint to corporate Holiday Inn Express. The only positive thing to say is the room appeared clean and modern.
