  Newer Hotel on Edge of Town

  Filling in on another sales route brought me to Vernal for the night. I usually stay at Comfort/Quality Inns on my business travels and this CI did not disappoint, despite the COVID inconveniences. This looks like one of the newer hotels in Vernal and is literally on the south-west edge of town on US 40 & 191. Some of the newest retail & restaurants are just blocks away. Not sure how new the hotel was, but the rooms were well-cleaned and not at all run down. Due to the virus restrictions, there was no sit-down breakfast, just to-go bags of danish/muffins. Bed was decent. Only drawback was that there was vending, but no ice machine on the 3rd floor. Had to go down to the 2nd floor for ice.

  Great stay at great price

  This is really a nice place. The cost of the stay was very low due to COVID. The at desk people were sensitive of the COVID situation. The breakfast was a breakfast in a bag which is okay with us because we take our own breakfast anyway.

  Weekend exploring area

  The King suite was very nice, it had a couch and chair which was nice to watch TV The bed was very comfortable, with pillows that ranged from hard to soft, this was very nice. We stayed on 3rd floor and it was very quiet,

  Good Location

  Good location, and large, clean room, but the hotel was largely empty because of COVID and they were putting guests on the 3rd floor to have to share the slow elevator. A guy from housekeeping was also using it but with is mask pulled down under his chin. This is not proper behavior, and the 1st floor should be used as much as possible. Tip: Google GPS tried to get us there the shortest way as the crow flies but it took us off HWY 40/191 thru residential streets which was not faster. It's better to stay on 40/191 and loop around to the hotel.

  Noisy

  I stayed for a couple of nights while visiting the Flaming Gorge and it was noisy due to a construction crew that was also staying on the 3rd floor. They were laughing and slamming doors until about 11PM and it did not make for a good night sleep.
