  Overwhelmingly Impressed

  I admit to being a bit dubious having read some reviews, but this hotel is amazing. Check in was a breeze (the front desk was very friendly). The room was sparkling clean and even had free water bottles. The bathroom was lovely and a very nice standup shower (luxurious!). Even the bottled shampoo is a step up from typical hotel labels. Breakfast was hot and filling. Honestly I don't see how there could've been a better experience, especially for the price. I've stayed at much more expensive hotels that weren't as nice as this. I will note that one of the roads into the parking lot was flooded, but that isn't the hotel's fault AND there is another entrance that isn't flooded.

  Business travel

  The Comfort Suites in Midland TX at 910 I-20 is outstanding. I stay at a lot of Choice Hotels and I have to say that the Customer Service here was some of the best I've encountered. The breakfast menu was the absolute best I've seen at any Choice property. As one who travels weekly on business I must commend them for the excellent job they have done there. I would highly recommend them.

  A pleasure to stay here

  This hotel was part of our trip from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, TX (CA, AZ, NM and TX). We 4 people stayed here in 2 double rooms for 1 night only in June 2019. The hotel is easy to find, right next to the highway. It was the first time we stayed in a Comfort Inn and we liked it. The hotel is super clean, same for the rooms. The breakfast was the most diverse and best during our trip we loved it. The staff was friendly here. The swimming pool is inside. This hotel is perfect to explore Midland. Only downside was that they gave us 1 room on the top floor and 1 downstairs. And the elevator was very slow.

  The only reason I didnt rate it terrible, I slept great!

  I made this reservation on the Choice app the day we were arriving. I booked the senior rate, king room for my husband and I. Room 202 is a wheelchair, ADA room. Definitely not what I booked and dont need. Read below. As we were checking in, we were told that there werent any king rooms available and that she had put us in a different room. I stated as long as it was not a queen bed that would be OK. since we were only going to be there for one night. She stated it was a room with two double beds and her words, its a great room. It was a room with two queen beds. I am standing in the lobby waiting for my husband to come in with the cart and our luggage. A single male adult about the age of late 20s was checking in. She tells him the same thing. I dont have any king rooms available however I have moved you to a king suite. Say what?! So you put a single male in a king suite and put my husband and myself in a room with two queen beds! How does that make any sense?! That was strike one for me! We get to the room and start unloading all of our stuff and part of my routine of checking everything in the room I noticed that there are not any washcloths, there is not a hairdryer although the holder is mounted on the wall, theres only one tiny trashcan in this whole room, and the little tray that you put the coffee pot filters and is missing. My husband goes to the front desk and asked for these items. He gets the washcloths, was told they didnt have any other hairdryers, and a brand new coffee pot was brought to us in the box. OK so were getting somewhere at least. By chance, on this road trip I brought a hairdryer because one of the places that we were going to stay said that they did not have a hairdryer. Its a good thing I had a hairdryer. When we left Midland this morning, the temperature outside was in the 30s! One of us wouldve been leaving with wet head. Strike 2. Breakfast is from 6 AM to 9 AM. My husband goes down to the breakfast area to pick up the grab and go items they are supposed to have and was told, they were all out of food except fruit and she told management they were running low on supplies and they hadnt arrived yet. The fruit was over ripe bananas and under ripe, green oranges. Heres a thought! Let your guests know when checking in you are running low on breakfast offerings and recommend coming down early to get items that they might want or at least say we may not be able to feed all of the guests we have in the hotel because we havent received our shipment! I will never stay at this location again. Too many damn choices, no pun intended, to choose from in Midland. Oh, if you are going to put the coffee maker in the little nook, have a plug there! Who designed this place!? Also, fix the ceiling in the bathroom.

  Terrible

  I paid $241.00 for one night and this is what I received for my money--- 1. Weak and inconsistent wifi that kept kicking me off. I had to rejoin the wifi countless times per day 2. No milk available to use on cereal at breakfast, overflowing trash can in dining area, lukewarm coffee in lobby. My husband asked the breakfast attendant for milk and she directed him to the chocolate milk. He asked for white milk for his cereal and was told that there wasn't any because "the truck didn't show up". Maybe someone could have make a quick trip to WalMart to pick up a gallon? My husband resorted to using tiny containers of half & half mixed with water. 3. Ice machine on our floor didn't work 4. Air conditioner in room did not cool consistently. It kept shutting down. We had to play with the settings numerous times to get some cool air in the room. 5. At 10:15 am on checkout day, a housekeeper opened the door to our room without knocking and stepped inside the door. I was standing in the bathroom and said "hello??" I am checking out today!"I was startled that she came into the room without knocking. She apologized and left. Now I see that rooms are listed for less than $100/ night. Why was my price $241?
