  Living in the 70s!

  Family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Stayed overnight on a Saturday might so we could attend a nearby wedding. Booked via phone direct and requested early check in. Request happily met! Arrived earlier than expected and no problem checking in even earlier. Manager even reduced room rate! Unfortunately this motel has not moved into the 21st Century! Built in 70s and looks like nothing has been done to it since! Furniture in room was original 70s and badly needed replacing. Wardrobe doors off tracks and whole thing about to collapse. Tables and benches all scratched. Very few power points - an essential with modern technology! No way you could use a laptop at table and have it plugged in! One of my kids opened door to porch and door virtually fell on him! Hardly screwed in place. Didn't exactly inspire confidence in room security! Big gap around front door allowed drafts. Bathroom was very dated. Taps missing hot/cold labels. When turned on shower took 4 to 5 minutes for hot water to come through pipes. Not good to be standing waiting when bathroom window has open bit at top! Beds were comfortable. Overall this motel provided just adequate accommodation. Badly in need of major update. Would hesitate before booking again!

  Dated but ok

  Very friendly welcome from Michael. Look this is a 1970's motel which has seen better days, particularly the carpet! There's also things like no dedicated workspace, lack of powerpoints, no crockery or cutlery if you want to self-cater.The shower does take a long time to get hot but you are warned, and more to do with the design of the building than the management. Bathroom however is a good size. I initially had an issue with the WiFi dropping out but when I moved my laptop got 4 bars, all good. Sleep was great no noise, comfortable bed, nice linen. Furniture includes 2 club chairs and a table and a club sofa, 2 bedside tables, these are newer. It wasn't hot enough to use the pool but looked nice! It is what it is, a reasonably priced motel which does need an upgrade in some departments but is comfortable and certainly a long way from the "run screaming" department! Also close to end of Ring Road for easy access to the Airport. I would stay again :-)

  Bath looked like it hadn't been cleaned, it had a build up of soap scum and screen was not secured properly which made it dangerous. A false fingernail was found under lamp when we moved it over. My son found dried up snot on 3 of the walls . one bed had long hair over it. the cupboard the microwave/kettle etc was on was very sticky and felt very dirty. carpets very stained, outside door handle was wobbly and didn't feel secure and lastly, there was an empty complimentary shampoo bottle shoved in the switch to turn lights on/off

  Not as advertised

  My wife an mother in law booked this hotel but on arrival the police had some drug/alcohol effected person bailed up who then proceded to abuse them. They went to their room and could hear in the room next door a lot of swearing and yelling. It was supposed to be a non smoking room that stunk of smoke. The room was supposed to have a spa, but out of order. They decided not to stay but were refused a refund. The hotel is being used as a refuse for homeless people (admitted by staff member). Don't waste your money.

  Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented

  Yes its an older motel and doesnt look like much from the street. But the room I was in has clearly had a refurb in the last year or two and was beautifully presented. It was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in at any price point, very impressed.
