Central locationWe returned to the Gemini after a four year hiatus, We booked a superior room for an extra few dollars, and were given a corner room on the third story, which was large, comfortable and had a king bed. The bathroom was also large and marbled with a great shower. A strange quirk was when the office rang us early on the day of our stay, (on the Saturday of a long weekend), and said that they closed at 12.00 pm, and that we would need to ring a security company to get our key when we arrived. As it turned out it wasn't a problem, but a little strange for a three story motel, and meant there was no one to contact for any needs during the stay. Free in room wi-fi was advertised, but to activate it required getting a password from the now absent administration office staff. Despite this we had a good night. The A/C worked well and was whisper quiet. There was a lot of activity in the main street with live radio and street processions which we could view from our veranda. However, when we closed the sliding door the noise was minimal. Overall, the Gemini is tired and needs a refurbishment, but we had a good stay at a reasonable price on this trip,

Gemini Griffith ReviewI just read an existing review and my experience was 99% the same. It was the same weekend so that accounts for a bit of it. I have changed the appropriate bits below: We room on the third story, which was large, comfortable and had a king bed. The A/C worked well and was quiet. There was a lot of activity in the main street with live radio and street processions which we could view from our veranda. However, when we closed the sliding door the noise was minimal. We had a leaking toilet, but we had no one to contact about it. Also, the room was not serviced for the 3 nights we were there, so it was getting a bit ordinary. The tea bags did not get replaced, nor the towels. The only access to the building is through the back security door, but it was broken on the Sunday night (suspected break-in attempt) so it was left unlocked. Overall, the Gemini is tired and needs a refurbishment. Even though it has a good location, I am not sure I will go back there again. Stayed October 2014, travelled as a couple

Bliss!I went to Griffith for a family function and needed accommodation for 6 days. From the moment I spoke on the phone to Alexandra to make bookings, I was certainly greeted well and informed of all the knows and how's. I was clear of payments and knew I could spend the rest of what I had without worrying about what I had to pay at end of my stay. I have read the other reviews and do understand where the reviews come about of. However I did not find this a problem as I was informed clearly of business hours and a number to call incase of an emergency. Staff was pleasant and cheerful everyday I pass them. A holiday I was able to have chats with staff and be informed of what to do in Griffith. I would like to thank the staff at Gemini Comfort Inn Griffith NSW for making my 6 night stay for 4 people a pleasant stay. We felt like home away from home. If anyone has the issue of not being able to be catered for hand and foot 24/7. I can suggest other accommodation in Griffith. I got value for money and have changed my mind to stay at Gemini Comfort Inn Griffith every time I return back to Griffith. Location is central everything within walking distance. Thankyou Alexandra for your smiles and making me comfortable to talk and socialise. I just felt bliss and we left with a smile on out dials. Our memories have not been tarnished. xoxo

Worst night sleep everWhen we pulled up to the Gemini an instant gut feeling told me that this wasn't going to be good. No check in open, calling a security guard to get in, a dirty stairwell, noise coming from open door ways in the hallway all set the scene. Room wasn't much better. It looked over the roof and Griffiths Main Street. The air conditioning units kept me awake all night, when I wasn't over heating or freezing from the air con- too noisy with it on, too hot without it on. The semi trailer idling from 4.30am outside just added a distraction from the noisy fridge, and the roof top AC units. I've stayed in lots of country motels, and while lots are basic, they are always clean and quiet. This was neither.

AvoidThe Comfort Inn Gemini at Griffith is one that we will never consider for accommodation again. Firstly the motel is in the centre of town but reception closes at 12.00 Noon at weekends and we had to phone a security guard to formally admit us to the complex. Whilst he did a good job surely reception should be open to welcome guests. Our room was on the 3rd floor and it was a room that is in need of a major upgrade. The toilet door would not close so we had to use paper in the door jamb to keep it closed. The carpet had cigarette burns in the pile despite it being a non smoking establishment. The split system had been installed out on the balcony but the hoses to the room inverter were passed through a hole cut in the glass door which restricted the balcony door from opening fully. There was no breakfast option except a pack available from a closed reception to purchase if they had been open. The only way to exit this place was through the security door, I dont know what would have happened if there had been an emergency because no one was in attendance to deal with any crisis that might have happened. This complex is right next to the council offices and in front of the police station, how it remains open is remarkable.
