  Good value but bed was too small

  My partner and I stayed overnight and the room was lovely and worth what we paid. We stayed in winter and the heater worked a treat and we were warm all night. However the bed was quite small - would have preferred a Queen but other then that the stay was great.

  What a great meal !

  Were up in Hamilton for some kart racing and stumbled across this gem of a restaurant, what can I say six people on the table and we all ordered rib eye steaks and no one was disappointed , cooked perfectly and presented exceptional well , wow

  Restaurant has great food

  Restaurant and motel rooms seem to be managed by different people. Restaurant has lovely food I enjoyed except for the bowl of granola which had double the granola you need but too little yoghurt and compote. They also charged me extra, whether it was the juice or extra milk I needed I don't know, but the morning before I was told to help myself as I wouldn't be paying extra! So, double check every morning, as it seems to be at the waitress on at the Tim's discretion! The hotel room I had rubbish still in te Ben from previous customer, and the next day I came back and the maid had been but not made the bed. The bathroom has been renovated, but the shower is open so it is impossible not to get a flood of water on the bathroom floor due to small spaces. The hand basin is very modern but not practical for washing your face in as you splash everywhere, and gents will love the toilet paper location as its behind you when sitting on the toilet, so stock up before you sit down! Motel is next to the botanical gardens with a short walk înto the shops.

  Average getaway!

  The hotel was very well located with only a very short walk to the city centre. the room was small but reasonably well appointed. The bathroom was newly renovated and very comfortable. The bed was a little small but very clean. Heating was an issue as it took most of the evening to bring the room up to a warm temperature. Given the cold outside we were quite cold for a number of hours. We had hoped to order a cooked breakfast as per the hotel compendium but we were informed that only a continental breakfast would be available given the busy weekend. The breakfast was to include cereals, milk, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and tea and coffee for $15 pp. Disappointingly there were no pastries and tea and coffee were extra - I was charged $4 for a coffee. I found this a little too pricy for a continental breakfast. At $19 I believe we could have had a much better breakfast at a cafe in town.

  Lovely hotel

  Very happy with my stay. Staff were lovely. The heater in the room was perfect. Great position right near botanical gardens and main shopping area. All walking distance. Plenty of parking area. Very well priced
