  No masks worn

  The hotel its self was ok; however, in spite of what the Trip Advisor web site says, this hotel does not follow the COVID virus guidelines. None of the staff wore masks and during our stay no patrons were wearing masks either. Fortunately we did not have to interact much with other people including staff.

  Covid-19 Safety Disregarded

  Employees do not wear masks and tell customers masks are not required. Employees are frequently smoking outside front door. People were friendly but more than willing to share any viruses they might have. Until this situation is corrected this facility should be closed!

  Good Price For A Good Stay

  Spend a couple of day exploring Payson AZ and stayed at the Comfort Inn. Place is clean and the rates are reasonable with a friendly staff Great location and close to all and plenty of parking. They serve a free continental breakfast which is limited because of the pandemic.

  DON'T STAY HERE!!!

  Complete disregard for COVID safety issues. Manager and staff not wearing mask. We were told by the Manager at check-in that mask were not required in Payson Az. according to the Mayor. (We were wearing mask) Our room was ok, however the next morning, we heard water splashing in the bathroom. When we investigated, we found water coming from a vent above the toilet. Next to the vent, a bubble was forming in the paint. Still don't know if this was waste/sewage water or a broken water pipe. I went to the lobby/desk area looking for anyone from the hotel staff with no luck. I rang the desk bell, and called out for assistance, again with no response. I made a search of the first floor area looking for anyone to help-no luck. I finally found the manager in the parking lot, smoking a cigarette, and talking on the phone. I explained the problem. She came into our room to take a look, again, not wearing a mask, or giving us much space. I told her of my concerns that there might be someone in need of help in the room above. I also expressed our concerns about this being waste water, COVID issues, and structural/safety issues with the ceiling. She said that she would contact her maintenance person. We could not use the bathroom. We were not offered another room so that we could get ready to leave. We were forced to leave hours before we had planned to check out. My wife used that restroom in the lobby, but found it to be dirty and not well maintained. At check out I asked for a full refund. The manager did give us a 25% discount, but said that only Choice Hotels could give us a refund. I did contact Choice Hotels but have been told that only the hotel can give a refund.

  No Masks!

  I wish I had read the reviews here before we picked this place a couple of hours before we arrrived, with a non-refundable booking. The room was fine, location O.K. but I was appalled that the desk clerks did not wear masks. Had I not already paid, I would have walked out and looked for another place.
