  Good budget hotel

  Great location by the train station, this hotel had small but clean rooms and a good bathroom with powerful shower. It was a little tired looking but had everything we needed. Breakfast was better than we expected, and nice to be able to get coffee and some cold drinks for free during the afternoon and evening. Checking our bags through to the end of the alpine route was also easy and worked.

  Good overnight stay, very close to Toyama station

  The hotel is just 5 min walk from Toyama station. Room was a bit small and looked rather old, but it's clean. Breakfast was ok. There were lots of other dining options around the hotel. Staff was friendly and service was good. The reception helped to send our luggage through to the other end of Alpine route. This is really convenient as we didn't have to queue at the courier office in the station, which can be extremely busy during the peak season.

  Ideally located next to Station

  We used this hotel purely as a stopover hotel given our plans to do the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. It could not have been much closer to the station really so it made it very easy to get up and go without carrying luggage too far. The hotel amenities were fairly basic but they were suitable given the price we paid, and we also got breakfast included. The breakfast was a bit chaotic as many people were fighting over only a few tables but wasnt the end of the world. If you need a comfortable place to stay near Toyama a Station look no further. Very good value for money.

  Fair Hotel

  Unbeatable location because its only 5 mins walking distance from the JR station. Its a budget hotel and we did not expect anything because we left the hotel at early morning for visiting alpine route. The room is very small but still able to manage for a shower and rest. They provide luggage transfer service for those who would like to complete the entire alpine route.

  Its OK...

  The hotel is located near the train station, which is great. Clean, very small and basic. For the price, its alright. The aircon is being centralised, so we couldnt adjust the temperature or the wind flow to our liking. It became really stuffy at some point and we had to depend on the air purifier to create some wind. We meet 3 front desk staff throughout the 2 nights stay - 2 of them werent looking too happy to serve us. The other younger looking lad looked more friendly and sincere and spoke slightly better English compared to the other 2. We tried to get our luggages delivered to either Ogizawa or Nagano but they couldnt do it (I know they cant send it to Nagano anymore because of some new arrangement but I did not expect that they cant send it to Ogizawa too). So they advised us to arrange the delivery at Dentetsu Toyama station instead, which luckily we were in time to do so (before 9.30am). Upon checking in, I asked the front desk before if they could help to send my luggages and i was only told to bring down our luggages upon checking out so I thought there shouldnt be any issues. I wished they could query us further like asking me where do I need to send them to and recommend the timing to bring down our luggages. We could have potentially missed the cut off time of sending our luggages at Dentetsu Toyama Station if we were to check out later, after knowing that the hotel cant send them to Ogizawa.
