  Rooms OK, breakfast OK

  We stayed here twice, both only one night. The room isn't very big but offers enough space. The shower was OK, the water temperature was constant and it wasn't too small. Even though the room smelled a bit, it wasn't an unpleasant stay. The breakfast the next morning was OK, with fresh viennoiserie but near to no meats or cheeses. Enough to get your morning started, but nothing more. I'd stay here again, but never longer than a single night.

  Very nice

  We stayed one night at this hotel. The room was small but clean and it looked nice. Personal was very kind and helpful. The hotel is near de highway so you don't have to search long. The hotel is also near the Centrum and shopping centre when you go with the car. But you can also take a bus from the hotel to the centre. I would recommend this hotel!

  Decent Location, Terrible Staff.. Needs a good clean too!

  Decent location and value for a short stay before heading home via Calais. Large comfortable bed with decent pillows. Coffee & Tea provided in room which is good for a budget hotel in France. We arrived late in the evening. The young receptionist was clueless and said we didn't have a reservation as he was too distracted entertaining his friends. Eventually we got checked in and discovered in both our rooms that the inter connecting doors has not been locked and their was guests sleeping in the other rooms. I don't know who got the biggest shock... us or them! Anyway, the room was fitted to a decent standard but the cleaning was woefully inadequate. The floor in the bedroom was covered in dust and fluff that made our socks filthy when we were walking about. The shower door seal was missing so that when wh had a shower it flooded the bathroom floor. I stepped out of the shower and slipped on the wet floor bruising my backside as well as my ego. The breakfast was just say ok. Continental, with not a lot of choice. Better to visit a local cafe in my opinion. This could be a really nice little stopover but needs staff training and a good clean before I'd consider a return visit

  10 minute stay - blocked smoke detectors

  At the point of reserving 2 rooms, my wife requested rooms that had not been smoked in as our kids have asthma. This request was confirmed by the hotel. On the day we arrived, temperatures in Lille were above 40 degrees and so getting to our rooms to unwind from a long day was top of our agenda. The outside of the hotel really gave me a bad feeling but I ignored my instinct and we went in. Checking in was a slow process as the reception computer was struggling to function in a hotel with no air conditioning during a heat wave. The slow check in gave me time to soak in the vibe of the place and the broken mirror below the reception desk maybe told a tale of a previously unsatisfied customer. Finally we got our keys and went up to our rooms. My daughter and I went to one of the rooms and as we entered, the room really smelled of stale smoke. I looked up and saw that the smoke detector had been deliberately blocked with toilet paper to enable smoking in the room. I am not sure how often this hotel does safety checks but with people smoking in rooms and blocked smoke detectors, we did not want to risk ours and our children's lives staying here. So we left and paid an extra 40 euro to stay next door.

  Never Again

  Stayed whilst on business in the area, never again. The room was very basic with very poor lighting in order to get some light into the room I had to leave the bathroom door open with the light on. When morning came and daylight shone through the window the mould on the ceiling was clearly visible - disgusting Breakfast was very basic and at 9 Euro not worth it. An electrical socket was hanging off the wall in the corridor with the live cable fully exposed. However the worst thing was on arrival in the room I was greeted by a log left in the toilet - so just how well had the room been cleaned...... or not?
