A Good Friendly Place To StayWe arrived quite late on Sunday night, but Reception stays open until 23:00. Jean upgraded our room from the ground floor we'd booked to one on the 2nd floor which was a much nicer location, providing us with a balcony we could sit out on to enjoy the breeze. The room was clean and airy with excellent built in cupboards, a dining table and chairs, chests of drawers and two armchairs. The kitchen section contained a two ring hot-plate, a sink, a kettle, a fridge and cupboards. The bathroom was well appointed and very clean. Of vast importance to my husband, the Wifi was excellent. The cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient. The pool was beautiful and shockingly cold. The location was very good - 20 mins easy walk to the city centre down a road full of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, an easy 3 or 4 minutes round the corner to a lovely sandy beach and some nice restaurants and coffee shops, maybe 5 minutes walk from a wonderful local market that runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We walked everywhere, including to the ruined acropolis, theatre and running track. The niggles we have were as follows: 1. The bed was like granite. 2. The items in the kitchen would have been impossible to cook a meal with - 1 knife, 1 tablespoon, a tiny frying pan, a briki, 1 big plate, 1 small plate, 1 soup bowl between 2 people. There were 2 mugs and 2 small cups. We bought a couple of extra knives and 5 teaspoons and left them behind, but we would have found it very hard if we had been planning to self-cater anything more than a light breakfast. 3. This is more an issue for the booking website. We booked with Expedia. It listed the hotel amenities in a way that implied they were all included in the price. However to use the aircon cost an extra 5 Euros a day and to use the safe was 15 Euros for the week. It would have been nice to know about this in advance; I would imagine it would be quite a shock to someone on a tight budget. We enjoyed our time in Rhodes and the hotel made a great contribution to our enjoyment. On the last day we had to check out at midday, but our flight wasn't until 10pm. As well as keeping an eye on our luggage, Jean explained that we were welcome to spend the day hanging out here, providing us with towels so we could use the pool, and we could sit inside using out phones whilst charging them from the hotel electrics. She ordered us a taxi for the airport which arrived exactly at 7pm as requested. This hotel was a pleasure to stay at and very good value for money. A good location with good amenities. We would recommend it and happily go there again.

MediocreThe location is nice. Not far from the old town or the city center. Breakfast has a nice variety. What was not pleasant was the owner shouting at the staff. We stayed for 3 nights and witnessed more than 2 confrontations.

Quiet, basic, but cleanThis is a quiet hotel in a run down area. The images on here are not recent as it does not look quite like the photos anymore. Room was clean but basic, but the beds were uncomfortable. Avoid breakfast, it was awful. The pool is small but we had it to ourselves so was fine. The area is run down and quiet, though there are signs of investment. There is a new marina nearby with modern bars. There is a lovely beach 2 minutes walk and the old town is a 15 minute walk with the new town a further 10 minutes. There is a lovely restaurant, Felicia's, on the beachfront that is definitely worth a visit. Overall, if you want a cheap, basic, very quiet place close to a nice beach, within decent access to local areas, then this will suffice. If you want decent facilities, fun and excitement then keep away. NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN.
