  Great little hotel in a central location

  I stayed at the Balmoral for three days at the end of August and I cant fault it. It scores highly in all of the key areas that I usually measure a hotel by: value for money, comfort and good customer service. In terms of the latter, the manager went out of his way to organise a taxi for me from St Malo as my ferry was arriving late in the evening. The hotel staff were also very good at providing local information, such as recommending places to eat. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of delicious pastries as well as different types of bread and cereals. Im normally quite fussy about my coffee but even this did not disapppint: it was freshly brewed every morning and very good. I will definitely return if I come back to Dinard for another holiday.

  Ok not worth the price

  We had an average stay here. We paid extra for an extra large bed and we found it was two singles put together. Not ideal. Location is good and so is the breakfast. It is loud in a morning with the street activities but that cannot be helped. The manager could sometimes be a little cold and not so welcoming. May be because he was busy. Really expensive for the kind of hotel and I am sure you would get value for money elsewhere.

  An uninspiring experience

  The 'Comfort' Hotel Dinard Balmoral, Dinard, is an hotel of the Choice Hotels Europe chain and is located 26, Rue du Marechal Leclerc, Dinard. If you are arriving by car, parking can be quite difficult as there is no car park and pay parking on the street or in a pay car park is the only option. Upon check-in I enquired if the bar was open and the desk clerk said yes. My partner and I took our bags to our room and retired to the bar for an early evening aperitif. After waiting patiently for over 25 minutes and twice enquiring at the front desk for someone to attend the bar, we decided that the barman must have either died or quit his job!! We therefore left and went to a bar along the street. After taking dinner at a local retaurant we departed for our room. If you stay at this hotel be aware of the early locking of the Hotel entrance. If you inadvertantly leave your key behind, you'll probably be spending the night on a park bench!! The room was very small, clean but adequate for a one night stay but only that. No atmosphere, a noticable lack of staff and as I had paid upon booking in, no staff were in the foyer upon leaving. Overall a lack lustre experience and I definitely would not stay there again.

  Cozy and well located

  Good location in the city center not far from the beach. Warm welcome. A comfortable and quiet hotel. I spent one night in a little room, cozy and functional. Hotel Balmoral is nothing exceptional but is good value for money.

  Well located & cozy

  My husband was on business so I went along for a few days break. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to all amenities. Its a lovely quiet hotel which is exactly what I was looking for. The staff are very helpful and will recommend good restaurants nearby. The rooms are basic but cozy and have everything you would need. On the day of departure we asked at reception to call a taxi only to find out there was a rail strike on and therefore all taxis were fully booked. The hotel owner offered to drop us back to the airport which I thought was very good of him. I would definitely return to Dinard as its a beautiful place for relaxing and I would definitely stay here again.
