Attention to detailLovely rooms, lovely settings but to expensive for what it is. No room number signs on walls so we had no idea how to get to our room, scruffy staff, kept waiting for drink orders to long, dinner was presented like 4 star but tasted like 2 star, full English was more like half English and a chore to chew through, the bar area is more like a coffee shop in a cheap hostel, no lager on draft just cans for £6 each. I would have no qualms if this stay had cost £150 for dinner, bed and breakfast but it was over £300. If they could sort all the little things it could be a great place but the attention to detail is just not there.

What a findMe and my husband stayed for 4 night as part of a package I stumbled across online. The package we got was 4 nights stay, 2 for 1 on all treatment, 2 x 3 course dinner, 2 x afternoon tea and breakfast each day for a very competitive price! I must admit if I hadn't found this then I probably wouldn't pay the price however the hotel is lovely our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the ground. Unfortunately everything needed to be booked in advance which is a pain on holiday as we to be spontaneous however the place was lovely and clean. The food quality was brilliant and due to the virus a full cook breakfast was brought to or room each day at no extra cost. All of the staff were really warm and friendly. I would love to stay again in fact been already looking for a voucher for the summer

The best spa treatments I have ever experiencedI have been seeking somewhere I can regularly visit for spa treatments, thats local to me. I have tried out various treatments in the area (Bath & Bristol) but have never felt so relaxed, welcomed and in such great hands than at the Combe Grove Manor Spa. I cannot stop going back!! I have had massages and waxing so far and excited to try more. Each staff member I have encountered have been so friendly and welcoming, which I havent experienced much of in other local spas. The atmosphere is calm, tranquil and overall just a pleasant experience. The rooms are comfortable and clean. and then staff are always punctual to all treatments I have booked. They also explained how the treatment will commence which I really appreciate. The products they use are delightful too! The waxing there especially, Im sure hurts a lot less than anywhere else I have experienced but yet works better than what I have experienced! The treatments are definitely 5 star but the most important factor for me, in a spa, which the staff have seemed to nail, is how down to earth everyone is and how welcome I feel. Thank you Combe Grove Manor Spa, cant wait to be back again.

November breakAfter reading a few dubious reviews I was prepared for a disappointment but was pleasantly surprised. We had a look round Bath arriving late afternoon at the hotel down a long one way drive. Reception staff were very welcoming and explained where everything was in the main hotel. Our Travelzoo deal included dinner B&B and an afternoon tea, not fine dining but perfectly acceptable. All was fine, restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and courteous, the brown t-shirts were not that attractive (management decision?) The pool slots were all booked up unfortunately (book in advance?) a few brave souls were in the outdoor heated pool! Views from dining room (Orangery) and lounge were lovely over the valley. We stayed in room 20 in the annexe - large room with balcony, seating lovely views over estate. Walked from Hotel to Bath along Kennet and Avon Canal - tranquil and easy walking- took longer than we thought (3 hours) so got a taxi back (£9) visited Holborne Museum and saw Grayson Perry exhibition (fab!)
