  Great family friendly resort

  Great, comfy and spacious rooms. Lot of outside space to hang around. Kids had a blast with basketball courts, tennis courts etc., Not just the adults, even my son loved their Go Karts to go around. We had a very relaxing time.

  Great place to relax

  I was not sure what to expect of Columbia Lakes Resort when we went there during the week of Thanksgiving. To my surprise this was a very huge and well maintained resort with lot of amenities. The biggest hit of our stay was the sports options for the kids. Very good basketball court, tennis courts and beach volleyball court along with the access to the golf carts. The rooms are Texas sized and the beds were really great for a good night sleep. The staffs were friendly and courteous. Overall this place exceeded my expectations and we all had a great stay during our visit to Houston.

  Recent stay

  I stayed Columbia Lakes Resort for a recent conference. Guest room accommodations were adequate. Conference center itself was only fair. Bathrooms were out of soap and paper towels in several restrooms, the food buffet lines for our breakfast, lunch and dinner were took a long time to get through, something that could have been easily remedied by making the buffet lines double sided. Food was average. The lighting in the conference center is also poorly designed. Can lights were placed right above the blades of the ceiling fans and when the lights and fans were on, we had a strobe light effect, making it hard to take notes. This may be an okay place if you are only staying in the guest rooms but I would not recommend it for conferences.

  Mix feelings

  Where do i start? My family and i wanted to take a vacation that was relaxing and full of peace so we picked Columbia Lakes Resort because we never been well we didnt know what we were getting into... We we arrived on Friday we was told we were double booked and that they needed to find us a cottage than when they did the cottage AC was not working and roaches were dead all through the cottage and the little Ac Unit in the bedroom was leaking water everywhere in the room. They tried to fix the AC but the heat was unbearable After an hour me and my husband went to the front and told then we cannot wait another minute for them to fix the AC we drove far and was tired and needed to bathe and relax. Well i must say through all that Kelly at the front desk was super helpful and made out bad checkin turnaround to a great stay! From swimming to fishing my family had a good time! This place doesnt have much if you just want to relax and just bond with your family this is a place you can relax at.. THANK YOU KELLY FOR EVERYTHING!!

  Best Resort Ever!

  This is the 4th year that Columbia Lakes has hosted our annual Leadership Conference; every year is better and better! Their customer service is off the chain and the facility is the best and so affordable. Cathy and her team are amazing, they make every guest feel so special. We have already booked our 2020 Conference and long as they are there, we will be too. If you are looking for a home-away-from home Columbia Lakes is that place. Consider them for your next event, conference, wedding, family union, I think you get the point!
