  Inexpensive Clean Hotel

  Nothing fancy, just a cheap and clean hotel. Difficult to find but a nice location when you get there. Located inside a gated community. I will be back. Much better than staying along a busy roadway...

  I have never stayed in a dirtier more disgusting hotel in my life. For starters, I am highly allergic to smoke and when entering the room the first time I was overwhelmed with the smell of old cigarette buts. I then noticed that one of the beds appeared to have not been made much less cleaned (see picture of sheets below). It got worse from there. Dirty counter top (bugs and dirt). The black hair in the sink was inexcusable, and if that wasnt bad enough, there were spiders, webs and spider eggs everywhere. This is such a shame because Columbia Lakes is such a wonderful place to visit, beautiful and serene with a great restaurant (LaCasona). Shame on Columbia Lakes for allowing an establishment that no one should stay for free much less $70. Needless to say there was no where else to go but to sleep in my car. All hotels I called were booked due to families displaced from Hurricane Harvey. There are no excuses for thus. If I had it to do over again,I would have reclined my seat and spent the night in the Walmart parking lot.

  Would stay here again

  This hotel was a luxury place years ago. Business has declined and so has the upkeep. Weeds growing, exterior maintainence neglected and scrappy soda machines. But for $53. This place great! I give it 3 stars only because its good for price. Friendly staff, clean rooms, microwave, large refridgerator, pergo type floors, located in a safe gated community in the middle of a mediocre golf course, beautiful neighborhood, nice A/C, nice gym, in room coffee, hair dryer, golf cart paths to walk/run or bike,supplied soap sucked. Lots of blue collar folk seem to live there in an extended stay.

  Comfortable, quiet and inexpensive.

  We spent 5 days at this hotel. It seems as though the current owners have recently purchased it because they are doing a lot of work on it. It is a dated property but they have nice amenities (colored towels!), a gym, kitchen and laundry. The floor of our room was linoleum and I had to ask them to clean it (and they did). I had to clean the coffee maker before I could use it. The most amazing thing was that it was really inexpensive. It is located in a gated resort community and the surroundings are very pleasant. Just a 10 minute from Angleton, where we were visiting. We would definitely stay there again.

  Volunteering and travelling

  I had a wonderful experience volunteering and living at Lakeview hostel! Great food, quiet and excellent location! The locals and fellow travelers made my trip amazing!! Highly recommended. All myvlove to the staff and lifelong friends in Guatape!
