  Like An Old Friend

  After a several year hiatus from visiting Astoria and staying at the Columbia Inn during the 2000s, it was nice to return and find rooms that are clean and very comfortable. Microwaves, fridges and a close-in location are all pluses. It's quiet and the staff is very friendly. A good choice for a moderately priced motel in Astoria!

  Decent place, great location

  I had read mixed reviews on this motel so was a little leery to stay here. From the outside it does look a little questionable (I think it is the color?) and I do have to say when i went to check in, the man's appearance was not what I was used to. (piercings, gauges in ears, tattoos etc - no offense meant) but he was very nice and very helpful with things to do and information on the area. Our room was updated and very clean. He even let us check in even though we were early. I loved the location to town and the little trolley. It is on a very busy road, but we really were not bothered by the road noise. If we get back to Astoria, I would definitely stay here again. It was a great value. The trolley was fun and the 3 breweries we walked to were great with good food too. On our way south the next morning, 2 deer actually crossed that busy road right in front of us. I felt bad for them as there really were no woods or anything around. (nothing to do with motel)

  Good value

  We got into Astoria at almost dark and very tired after a hard bicycle ride from Kelso, WA. We were so relieved to check into our nice clean room with a great shower. The check-in was very smooth, and we had a great nights sleep.

  Great room great service.. horrible neighbors

  We have always loved this motel and still do. Me and my family were there the night of the 2nd and our neighbors in room 20 were fighting and arguing early hours of the morning. Slamming things yelling in their room and out in the parking lot making me and my daughters uncomfortable. At one point they slammed something and I thought the wall between the rooms was gonna come down. Otherwise we had a blast.

  Good Value

  This is a consistently nice motel with very good value for travelers. It's located near downtown and on the strip with fast food places, easy access on and off the hi way that goes through Astoria. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and the staff helpful. I'll be sure to return.
