  Really Great Location

  We stayed here for a week after renting a condo off of VRBO. The condo complex is in a great location, only 5-10 minutes away from Christensted and near an easy route to Frederiksted. The condo itself was nice. We didn't realize that the condo didn't have like normal air conditioning, there are individual units in each room. It wasn't a big problem though, because we left the balcony doors and front screen door open and we got what we called our "island air unit". Also, the beach is very rocky and was covered in seaweed and other debris that would wash up on the beach. Room 201D was a great room, and I recommend staying here for a relaxing time.

  Be careful of WHO one rents from

  Recently went to St Croix with my wife for her b'day -- rented a condo from an owner of one of the 2bedroom, 2 bathroom, porched condo. The grounds are well kept with a nice pool, waterfront and centrally located on the island. The island itself is beautiful, 28 miles long with awesome beaches--we went to six of these beaches with each one nicer then the next -- swimming in the warm water and snorkeling was awesome! A rental car is a must if one wants to explore and they do drive on the left which takes some getting used to... they have a small boardwalk with good inexpensive restaurants with Mahi Mahi sandwiches. As I mentioned to rent a car-- we went east, south, north and west -- east has the baron rich area, the south has the nice empty beaches, the north has the cliffs and scenic drives that are post card beautiful and the north has the dock for cruise ships and the most bluest water and snorkeling one can imagine -- we saw many fish and turtles -- which float along with the grace of a bird. We also took a ride in the northern rain forest which was awesome! The east wind kept us cool at night and the 85' days on the beach were not hot as one would think! The small island off of Christenstead was very, very unique. Getting back to the condo I would NOT recommend renting 101B-- no shirt, no shoes, no problem -- I would however go back and rent something in the mountain with a pool for an afternoon dip to relax after a day of exploring or beaching.

  Great Complex

  The grounds are well maintained including the pool, BBQ grills and beach. The security is also very nice being a gated community. These units are individually owned so each has different levels of improvement. Our group of 11 rented 3 different condos with all having great updates with the exception of one. The ocean views from the 3rd floors are amazing! The ocean front units are still destroyed by the last set of hurricanes but work had just began to rebuild them. If youre looking for a great comfortable complex without breaking the bank this is it, we would return in a heartbeat. However if you are looking for a luxury resort with all the amenities this is probably not it.

  The Restaurant Has the Best Service in the Whole Island!

  I stayed in St. Croix for one week and ate all my meals out. My very last meal was at the restaurant at Colony Cove Beach Resort. My meal was wonderful, I had the special - Conch in butter with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was tasty and quite the experience! Every person in the restaurant - including the kitchen staff and bartender - came over and checked on me at least once during my leisurely meal and made sure I had everything I needed. Everyone was so genuine and and friendly, truly the best service I had experienced on the island, hands down. Thank you! When I come back to St. Croix I am coming back to this restaurant, the food and the service was first class. I also spent some time on the beach before my meal and it was very relaxing.

  Very good complex

  Stayed in 303A which was just perfect. Beautiful clean condoThe owners had thought of everything, fully equipped kitchen. Shampoo and conditioner. Beach towels and chairs, coolers, snorkel gear... the list goes on. Good central location for exploring, nice pool and beach with good snorkeling on artificial reef. bar/ restaraunts 2 minutes either side along the beach. Local stores about 5 minutes walk away. I would recommend renting a car to see the island. We had 2 minor issues. The refrigerator broke and the property manager was straight round with a large cooler to store our food, plus a new fridge was installed within 8 hours. The owners even offered to reimburse us for any food that we had lost. Internet very poor, we could get onto the pool internet for short periods during the day but the condo internet was hit and miss. The manager did all that he could to sort it out, and it was perfect for a couple of days then went off again. However, this was a very small inconvenience considering we were staying on a paradise island
