  Not misleading

  Looks lovely from outside and just as comfortable inside. We had the family room (only because that it was all that was left). Large rooms, yes bathroom is a bit small, but it is adequate. Nice clean and modern with clean kitchenette. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Owners kindly helped out with an injury.

  So Spacious

  Booked a basic unit for two but ours had the bedroom separate from the kitchen/lounge area. This gave us so much space. the bathroom was by comparison quite small but all beautifully clean. Really comfortable bed and no traffic noise. TV in both living space and bedroom. Good kitchen with all you would need to cook a meal if you so wished. Good location handy to city. The proprietor had the heating on when we arrived. We were impressed by standard of this motel especially for the very reasonable tariff. We will certainly stay here again.

  Final Farewell

  We booked the 2 bdrm apartment and I have to say that the rooms were very spacious and warm that was because the proprietor had the heating on when we arrived. As it was a very bleak day with it being ranining and extremely cold. We were impressed by standard of this motel especially for the very reasonable tariff. We will certainly stay here again.

  Walk everywhere and value for money.

  Sure, it is getting a little old but our room was gleamingly clean and cheap. On the main drag - but quiet. Close enough to the centre to walk everywhere. We were only in town for the weekend and I dont think the kitchenette would have done us for longer. But if you want a simple unpretentious place to sleep then the Colonial on Tay was more than ok.

  Very clean and well presented

  Booked out 2 x 2 bedroom units with family. Both units were large (one bigger than the other) clean, tidy and warm. I'm really fussy so was pleased that they were so clean. The units were a great size and more like having a house to stay in. The bonus is that the bedrooms are separated from the lounge by a hallway so you can make noise and not keep the kids awake. While built in the 70s, the units have been upgraded and featured modern appliances, new bathrooms, comfortable beds, a nice flat screen TV, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. One unit had an older, but clean and functional kitchen. Great value for money and enough space for a family,and close enough to walk to amenities.
