  "Nice hotel in downtown Northeast Harbor, ME"

  Our family stayed here for one night prior to going to Bar Harbor, ME for the remainder of our vacation. We found the hotel to be really nice and comfortable which was located above the Colone's bakery and restaurant. The hotel has only 5 suites to book. We booked a 1 king bedroom suite with a separate living room area with pull out sofa bed. This was comfortable for us. The room was also very clean as well. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and sink. The bathroom was really nice as well with a beautiful dresser at the mirror with a sink. There were an ample supply of free soaps, lotions, shampoo that were provided as well. Shower pressure was really good as well. There is free-wifi but you need the password to access it. There is a book in each room with important information for your stay. There is even a book int he room where you can write your impressions and comments about your stay as well. We of course left some nice comments about our stay here. Guests are provided complimentary tickets for breakfast in the morning at the Colonel's restaurant downstairs. We needed some additional blankets and pillows the owner of the hotel and restaurant hand delivered them to us. It was wonderful service which we appreciated. As a FYI, guests check into the hotel at the bakery downstairs. There is a separate flight of stairs to the second floor where the 5 suites are located. There is street parking in front of the restaurant but it is limited to 2 hours during busy months of July and August where you could get a parking ticket of $ 20 if parked for longer than 2 hours. There is a parking lot behind the hotel where I recommend you park int he summer months of July and August to avoid being ticketed. Downtown Northeast Harbor is small with several shops and restaurants and limited parking. We enjoyed our stay here and would visit again. I definitely recommend this hotel.

  It Really is a Gem

  Basically its 6 apartments over a Bakery and Restaurant...Bot oh its so much more. Breakfast is Served to all guests till 11:00 Not a B&B Breakfast Not a Buffet Breakfast A Full Breakfast menu with your choice of anything Every Day Close to all parts of Acadia Park...highly recommend the Carriage trails on foot or Bike. The room is Quite spacious and even has Air conditioning...never needed it. Kept the windows open and it was delightful. Kitchenette is nicely equipped If you want Action Bar Harbor is 10 minutes away...if you want Lobsters you must try Beals in Southwest Harbor 15 minutes away The staff are helpful...Great Breakfast and great restaurant....and they have a Bar

  Pretty good!

  We were on a 7-state road trip across New England and this was one of our home base rooms for our visit in Maine. We got lost as we didn't know the difference between Bar Harbor and NE Harbor but after a quick call to the owner, we were on the road and there in no time. We were so glad because Bar Harbor was so crowded and busy with so much going on. The secluded area was just ideal. There are various rooms at these suites. Our room was nothing like the pictures above but it was perfectly adequate for us. Would have been nice to have one with a sink by the coffee service. We had a small sitting area with a coffee service and refrigerator and tv and then another tv in the bedroom area but we had a lot of trouble figuring out how to use the tv. Very confusing for us. We had adequate towels and amenities but the bed and pillows we had were extremely hard. Maybe others would find it okay but it was too much for us. This was a good home base for 3 nights. The owner was very communicative and very helpful since we arrived late. It was confusing because we picked up our key from the bakery downstairs and we had to carry our luggage up a long flight of stairs. The best part about this place is the restaurant below. We were given tickets for a set breakfast the mornings we were there except for the last one since the restaurant was closing down for the winter season and only open at lunch. Good thing we weren't staying longer. It was a perk to have this choice since the town seems to shut down and there wasn't a lot available to chose from when we arrived back after our long days of exploring. We never spent much time in the town so we can't offer up suggestions but we did pick up rolls and donuts at the bakery for the next morning to begin our long drive. There is a laundry service available for guests and they have a very set cleaning time available if you want to take advantage of it. We did one day but there wasn't the typical service you would expect including making beds, etc. Maybe just the addition of a towel or two. We id leave a note to get more coffee for the following morning. We opted out of the service the next two days.

  Clean and Cozy!

  Our suite was super clean, roomy and very comfortable. Towels were thick and plush. And there is a restaurant and bakery right downstairs. Talk about convenient! Cute, quiet main street and short walk to pretty marina. Convenient drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

  Love this place!

  The unit is very clean and the bed and sofa bed are very comfortable. Whole unit looks like new. It is walking distance to marina and short drive to Arcadia National Park. Downstairs is bakery and restaurant. We ordered twice from the restaurant and the food was quite good indeed. The owner responded our questions timely. I only gave 4 stars because at night, when everybody uses internet, it got very slow. Next morning it was back to normal again.
