  Lovely and we'll make sure to come back again

  We stayed in room 2 it was really cosy the room was clean and really comfortable, tea and coffee facilities in the room, big and clean bathroom. Breakfast was a big and more than enough with really good food. Amazing hosts which made us feel welcomed and not to forget to mention Monty the cat which was always by our side asking for attention.

  quaint/quiet and relaxing

  Very nice b/b guest house ,just off the high street and close to all activities restaurants/bars ,and close to the railway station,and main bus stops . The guest house is situated amongst small but nicely looked after garden areas with nice views from the front , breakfast is included,but we had to use a nearby cafe ,because of technicalities ,the owner paid ,and is a very friendly gentleman . the rooms are adequate with on suite ,and are cleaned daily with fresh towels, tea/coffee and bottled water in the room .there is a front lounge to rest or watch videos or read from the books ,left by other guests . very nice and popular so book early .

  Comfortable, quaint and hospitable

  Stayed there for three nights. The host was very welcoming and helped me heave my large suitcase up two flights of stairs. We were giving the room by the attic (room 3). It was small but cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The host was very friendly and open, even offering to help us carry our insanely heavy suitcases down despite his age. The BnB is situated near the station but is very far from the lake. Nonetheless, it is cheap and easy to call a cab (£3.50 to the pier). Breakfast was free but only consisted of cereal, juice and coffee/tea. The downside of the hotel was its wifi. I experienced numerous intermittent cuts through out my stay. Overall, I would recommend this place as it is convenient and affordable, with a friendly host and comfortable bed.

  OUTSTANDING! Will be back!

  my family and I stayed here for 2 nights in August. Frank, the host, was welcoming, kind and friendly. He helped us carry our bags up the stairs and was fantastic - very helpful! Frank went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We went on a walk and couldn't make it back before dinner time (most restaurants close at 9 pm last order) and uber doesn't work in the town. we called Frank and he immediately sent us a cab, he even offered to come himself. how wonderful! nikola, the other host, was also great. she suggested places to go and we did and loved it! the property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. the rooms and bathrooms were squeaky clean and had everything you could need - hair dryer, USB charging stations, toiletries etc. the property is in the middle of everything, very conveniently located. overall, one of the best places we have stayed. the warmth and kindness of the hosts was unforgettable. we will be returning!!   Nice B&B

  We stayed here for two nights in August. Frank and Portia gave us a warm welcome. Room 2 was spacious and clean with a distant view of the local fells. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was nice. Toast and cereal etc. Frank gave us local walking tips and was friendly throughout our stay. Because of Covid, we were the only guests so we were a bit spoiled! Good value for money. Very close to local shops bars and restaurants.
