Best choice for our first night

True Irish B&B. It was the most perfect selection for our first night in Ireland. It feel very homey and not business like, like so many that followed this one. Was also the best breakfast we had. Sara is really great, true hostess and makes you feel more like family than a guest. We loved the town, it is quite small and recommend the local pubs for sure.

    Complete disappointment!

Arrived around 4:30 in the afternoon, front yard had multiple water bottles and litter about it, place was EXTREMELY cluttered, musty smell throughout the home, rooms were very dated and bedding smelled musty also, WIFI did not work, television did not work, owner had her son come to take a look at it and still could not get any television to work, the upstairs community room had a light with five bulbs in it but four were burned out! Outside their dog cried often during the evening and this could be heard inside our rooms. My overall impression was that the Owner did not want to be operating a B&B. It was cold and the Owner turned the heat on for about 15 minutes but that was it. I would not stay here again. If we had not paid for our rooms we would have moved to another B&B.

Lovely B&B in an Adorable Town

This was a lovely little town to stay in when visiting Galway and Connemara. Our host Sarah spoke Irish which was so cool! The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The sheep dog out back is named Sue and she LOVES to play fetch! It also has a great view of the Bay!

    Out of the Way!

Travelling to this B&B was an adventure as we hit Galway at rush hour which made our trip a little more difficult. After a few tries we finally were on the right road and found the B&B. It would probably be a better location to visit in the summer. Our hostess was very friendly. The room was comfortable but the bathroom door kept squeaking in the night as there was a wind off the bay. We were guided to a great pub for dinner and in the morning with helpful directions we continued on our adventure.

Get a head start on touring Connemara

A local secret is the B&Bs slightly west of Galway. Although this one is right on the sometimes busy route to Spiddal, the fact you can see both the Aran Islands and the headlands that encompass the Cliffs of Moher is a bonus. Nice size rooms, great service (even afternoon tea) and a wonderful breakfast.
