Relaxing and beautiful view36 holes golf course provides an excellent view for all the individual cottage rooms. Each room is well equipped with kitchen, 4 beds, 2 western style and 2 Japanese style beds, living room with warmer, fantastic place to stay for family who are also golf lovers.

So Rural its TerrifyingMy friends and I stayed over for the New Year pet arrangements made by his timeshare for the cottages. So, why am I reviewing the Azalea? Because thats where my wife and I ended up staying at while my friends remained at the cottages (please see that review if you want reasoning why my wife was adamant we go elsewhere). First, let me start off with the staff. Some were helpful while others acted as yes men who would agree to all terms youd possibly have, but not actually follow through with any of it. In the event they did turn down your requests, it was more their way of trying to convince you to accept that requests for things such as hailing taxis are far out of their comfort level by any means. The one request they did honor? Allowing my wife to switch to one of their standard double twin bed rooms at the Azalea since she was starting to catch a cold while desperately trying to make the most of the previous cottage. However, instead of upgrading with just the difference in room rate between the cottage and the standard double room, they kept billing us for the 4-person stay in the cottage ON TOP OF the $150/person per night standard room rate fee. No negotiations. Even trying to check out early would result in us being gouged for the full 4 nights. We sucked it up since at least it would help my wife not catch pneumonia. Per photos attached, the bathroom was something out of a horror movie. Splintering and peeling paint finishes, mold and mildew on the grout, curtains too short for the actual rods resulting in water spills we had to clean up ourselves or incur daily $30 room service charges, oh but the view of the half browned and half green golf range was decent at the least. At $150 minimum per night with several cut corners, there are hundreds of hotels in other cities that will put this one to shame. Regrettably the fact youre hours away from any such competition means youre stranded and the staff could care less. The thought hat youd be away from city life may seem appealing, but with so many hours of travel away from everything you may as well just bite the bullet and stay in neighboring towns like Iga & Nara. This hotel is NOT foreigner friendly and nor is the town unless you get an international license and car/motorcycle rental. Otherwise youll be at the mercy of the hotel management with no way out. 1 out of 5 stars as they make no accommodations but will be glad to tack on new fees and charge excess just because they can.
