  Ya Mon!

  Not your typical hotel but a real cool place to hang out for a couple of days. We had the room facing the sea which was spacious, airy and clean. The food, usually had on the beach, was fresh and tasty. Emil, the Rastaman owner, is really cool, plays good music on a mean music system and will get you whatever you want. Happy days!!

  Cocanut bar sea lodge the best resturant in moragalla

  We have been eating here everyday for 4 days. The food is excellent!!! Fresh fish every day. The people here are very kind and warm... very clean. we felt at home. Our kids loved the place. Great beach to play in the send and swim. We reccomned with warm heart!! Come here!

  Great place to enjoy a drink at the beach

  This is a great place to relax at the beach and to have a drink in the evening! Cocktails are very delicious! The family who runs the bar is very friendly. They speak english and even a little bit german. The rooms with ocean view are fantastic.

  Sri Lankan Scribbles

  Great place to relax by the sea. It has large airy rooms with comfortable beds and is right on the beach. A great breakfast is served on the beach when you want it. There is a choice of Sri Lankan omelette or fried eggs. Coffee or Tea comes in a large pot. A plate of fresh fruit and a fresh fruit smoothie also come with the breakfast. Lovely peaceful and cool in the mornings. The small bay at the north side of Moragella Beach has five restaurants run by members of the same family. This Bar and Sea Lodge is one of these. One problem I fund was the difficulty in payment with Sri Lankan rupees. Particularly as a solo traveler I do not normally carry large amounts of cash. This Sea Lodge does not accept credit cards. I had consequently to go to the nearest ATM several times taking out the maximum per day to pay the total in Srilankan rupees.

  dinner at the beach

  after a morning walk we discovered this smal restaurant / gems shop / hotel at the beach. It was closed due to ow saison. The cousin of the owner offered to open it especially for us in the evening. At 6pm they just opened the place, nice reggae music and lovely people. Fresh shrimps as entree and then great pasta dishes. A French friend of the owner was cooking this evening. The pasta was ntot local food, but it was delicious. And the shrimps where the best ever! One large table with locals including the owner made this evening a great end of our holiday.
