  Too many handicapped issues for a new motel

  We stayed at room 104 7/1/19. Room toilet seat loose. This is a very serious situation (negligence) for a handicapped person. If my wife slipped just a little she could have aggravated her back. The housekeeping should have reported it. Door to room was harder to open than any room I have ever been to. Not ADA complainant, not even close (ADA to limit the operable force for door hardware to 5 lb.) Someone needs to be taken to task for this. A handicapped room a handicapped person cant enter. Engineering design flaw as the equipment in the machine room next door emitted a vibration that was irritating siting at the couch. When I mentioned it a young man (near the front desk) he knew about it. This room needs to be removed from service until all issues are taken care of. When I asked how many handicapped rooms were in the motel and we were told eight with just one walk-in shower, in a new motel, that is a Corporate mistake. A great motel, but not handicapped friendly. My wife is a member of a Post-Polio support group and not one would prefer a tub over a walk-in shower. Emailed GM ('mccook@staycobblestone.com') 7/9 at this location and no response. Refuse room 104 as I have no assurance room problems have been taken care of.

  Clean and Quiet

  Overall this hotel was good. Clean lobby, rooms and lounge. The hotel was pretty quiet as well. My only 2 complaints are the comforter or really lack of comforter as the beds have a very thin blanket on top and a sub par breakfast.

  Funeral

  Great Hotel. Sparkling clean, well maintained, very courteous staff. They even gave our entire families that gathered there for this sad occasion discount in our rooms. One little bitty problem, wine selection was very limited!

  Softball tournament

  Hotel staff was very rude and lacking, very understaffed for a weekend with a known at capacity state. We had 10 families stay at this hotel for our tournament. we had several of our rooms that were'nt cleaned when we arrived, one with a bed that wasn't made and food leftovers in it. Trash was not emptied outside, we were given a trash bag and told she was too busy to empty it, but was outside smoking 5 minutes prior. Also out of milk and had molding cream cheese that was being served.

  Comfort and Safe Practices

  My son and I enjoyed the King Suite with Kitchenette. The Staff are very polite, courteous, and helpful. The room was comfy and the breakfast served with customer safety the top of the day and staff using masks and cleaning very often. The indoor pool was inviting at the end of each day and very well maintained. Highly recommend that you stay at the McCook Cobblestone. We will be back. Thank you for having us for 5 nights.
