  They keep a copy of your ID for 7 years!!

  Wed booked this hotel to stay at while travelling they Devils Lake. Upon check in and providing credit card and ID, they slyly took a copy of my passport. When I realized that I asked why they needed a copy and what they did with whereupon the clerk advised shed lose her job if she didnt retain a copy. Odd I thought. Spoke to the rude manager who explained they kept it for 7 years in the event of a dispute with credit card company?? Could not see the need as typically you have 30 days to make such a claim. Have never had a hotel retain a copy of personal ID and sure didnt need my passport in their (and anyones possession) for 7 years. Went down the road and checked into a Holiday Inn - no problem or need to retain personal ID.

  Stayed for six nights starting June 22nd.

  Outstanding Service! Amy, thank you for your accomodations for me and my family. My Son and grandsons where in a room accross from me on the same floor. We held a family dinner using the meeting room. The pool, jacuzzi, kids room, fish cleaning house, breakfasts, BBQ grills, patio, coffee available 24/7, lounge/bar, staff, cleaning maids, free cookies, and other amendities were awesome! I will stay again next trip!

  Average rooms

  Average rooms for this type hotel. No one at the front desk at check in, had to wait a long time. Breakfast was out of a lot of items and no one working. WARNING, the price on your online reservation does not include taxes and so is not the total price which most reservations quote

  Nice Hotel

  We experienced Excellent customer service, the staff was very kind and friendly! breakfast was good. This hotel had a nice pool stocked with toys for our young children. Our room was clean and nice. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating!

  Needs improvements to rooms, services, and clealiness

  Small town hotels are often not keep up well, and there are many factors to that. Hence, here is my pros and cons at this hotel. I like to start out with the positive note. Pros: 1) They open the breakfast at 6AM instead of their normal weekend hours at 7AM for us because we work at 7AM. 2) Rooms are clean at the initial check in. Cons: 1) The person taking care of the breakfast area was not consistent. One day everything was filled up and plentiful. The next day both of the coffee stations were empty. 2) Front desk attendee was not consistent on the knowledge of the hotel. One guy didn't know how to start the Cobblestone rewards program for the me. 3) I tipped the hotel cleaners well. However, I was disappointment that my room was not cleaned up to the standard. The sink had some particles in it. The coffee ground was still in the coffee maker. 4) I tried to register for my Cobblestone rewards on line, but the website didn't go through, saying there is an error in sending the message. 5) The hotel business center internet didn't work on the computer. To get five stars reviews, this hotel needs to have more pros than cons. I hope they would improve their services soon. My plan is to stay at a different hotel next time I am in town, and I am in town almost every month!
