    Clean, quiet, comfortable

Located conveniently on Hwy 20, the main drag in Oak Harbor, our room was nonetheless quiet. The staff are friendly, the room was clean, and in most respects the motel seems to be kept up to date and in good repair. The stay includes free hot breakfast.

When you are looking for a good night's sleep

The Coachman Inn provides friendly, efficient service. The grounds are clean and well maintained as are the rooms. The property is comprised of several buildings with convenient parking near each building. Breakfast is nothing spectacular, but they do have the representative hot and cold selections. They even offered Sunday newspapers for the guests, something that isn't seen often. Conveniently located on the main cross island highway.

    Rude housekeeper

I found this accommodation by accident relocating to Washington and thought to stay the night with my service dogs. The staff were amazing Bailey Carol were brilliant. I feel so relaxed and comfortable there so I decided to stay an extra day to just rest. I had asked for a late check out at noon and had called th rod dice to let them know I am in the process of checking out from the room just had lots of luggage due to relocation I needed to move to the car and was hard to do fast without a luggage cart. Kristal then Manager was aware as I had called her. A little before noon the housekeeper knocked on the door and was rude saying to me it a noon you need to go. WOW, that girl was out of her manners for years apparently and had no class nor politeness in her body at All!! I replied back Im getting my things out you will see the door open when I m gone. I also called Kristal. Her look was rude and she just stared at me angry! Then as Im moving my things to my car I got locked out so I asked another girl very polite to let me in to continue emptying my room she told me she does not have the access key but would call someone. I waited for over 10 minutes. I decided to walk to the office and I saw that rude no manners housekeeper approaching. I asked her to let me back in she said with an attitude your check our time was 12noon you are still here. Again her rudeness! I told her that Im not going to discuss this with her I spoke with the Manager and she threw fit yelling at me well now Im not letting you in. And she walked away telling everyone about me. I could hear her laughing and making fun of my British Accent. I am proud being British! She came back and opened the door telling me to hurry up. I simply put her in her place telling her that she needs to learn manners if she works in hospitality and after a great stay she ruined this but I will let management know and she kept arguing. As I open the door to leave the room with my dogs, she was standing right there. Right in front of the door. I asked her to move away and she said NOPE. I said fine if my dog attacks you because you are now harassing us, it will be on you. She would not move away so I said i will call the police! In the end she continues to bad mouth me I work in Hospitality for 20 years Directing and Managing Operations and NEVER saw a person of that sort. And if I did I would make sure she gets Back into training and do well what her job description says the one they gave her when they hired her. And accusing a Guest and making things up because her coworkers will back her up, that shows definitely POOR management. Her job was to either open my door or call her manager to ask if she can do that. Her job didnt say argue and talk bad to the Guests who are BTW paying your paycheck!!! Especially now you are lucky to have a job you little girl. You dont deserve this job and definitely can not be in contact with people. Obviously no one taught you manners but your management allows you to do so. Shame that Bailey Carol and James and also Kailey were amazing!! You stand out as a a bad one!!!

Reasonably priced rooms in a great location

We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the rooms were. Front desk staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze- they even honored our request for a quiet room in the new wing. Location was great with many dining options nearby. Plenty of parking available as well. Docking a star because 1) we had to skip the free breakfast since the lines were so long, even extending out the door, 2) the guests in the room upstairs were stomping around all night which made it difficult to get to sleep (wed probably opt for a 2nd floor room next time), and 3) pillows were very flat and did not provide much support. Other than that, we were generally satisfied with our stay - you get what you pay for I guess!

    Horrible place to stay! Beware!

I traveled to Oak Harbor Washington for my nephews wedding, and was looking for someplace quiet and safe to stay. To say the least, the coachman Inn was neither! The first night I got there there was a couple above me who did nothing but scream holler and swear at each other all night long. They would come out on the balcony (which was right above me) and do the same thing. I finally got up and went over to a friends house and slept on her couch just to get some sleep before my nephews wedding the next day. After the wedding I came back to the hotel only to find that this couple was still there, and still fighting inside their hotel room above me, and outside on the hotel balcony till 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. I called the hotel but nothing happened, the guy and his shaven head girlfriend Made no attempts to quiet their arguments or have any consideration for the patrons around them. Finally at 4 o'clock in the morning I was able to fall asleep. The next morning when I woke up it was 10:45 AM and I had to be out of the hotel at 11 AM. I called the hotel to see if I can get a late check out, and the lady was very rude telling me that they had a lot of heck In's that day because it was Sunday. I kind a lost my cool a little bit then and explain to her that Maybe had I been able to get some sleep, at the Hotel that I just paid over $200 for I would've woke up on time. I then told her about the couple who argued and fought for the last two days above me, and how I called the hotel but nothing happened. So I basically spent over $200 on a hotel that I only spent less than 10 hours in! That's $20 an hour to listen to people fight and scream at each other for hours on end. So you've been warned, if you're looking for a safe quiet place to stay, in oak harbor, do not stay at the coachman inn. They don't care about their patrons, or whether or not the hotel is safe and quiet... All they care about is the money, and for you to be out by 11am so the next poor unsuspecting soul can rent the room and go through a living hell the way I did. If anybody from the coachman in his reading this, I want my money back!
