    Small and budget

We travelled in May 2011 to Korea for the first time. This hotel was our first stop in Seoul after arriving from a 7 hour flight from Kuala Lumpur. We stayed here as this was part of the ground tour package which we signed up for. All I remembered was hoping that this was not a reflection of the rest of the accommodation for the next week or so. The room was small and had very basic amenities. It felt like a very run down motel. Thankfully, we were very tired and only had to put up with it for a night. As much as I enjoyed Seoul very much, I seriously hope the agent would arrange a better hotel for future tour packages.

    It's a hostel not a hotel

It was a big disappointment. The stay there actually spoil my whole trip. It has no wi-fi in the room and no room service. There were also no eateries around the hotel. Location is out of town, the taxi driver didn't even know where it was. The hotel staff spoke little English and was not helpful at all, in fact they seem agitated when approached. I joined a package tour from a well-known agent in Singapore, they could only let me know which hotel 3 days before. To make it short, this hotel is crap.

If you have a modest budget...

It's not a hostel, or a hotel, it's a hotel residence. This hotel was booked for me for 4 days. When I got my room card, and went up to the 7th floor to my room, i was very put off by the pizza and chicken boxes piled in the hallways in front of people's doors, and the carpet was filthy. However, once inside, I got a clean, modern-ish, spacious room (enough for me to do yoga in the morning) with storage space everywhere, a workable kitchenette and fridge, and a comfortable and clean bed. The room is not cleaned everyday, but that was fine. There are a few convenience stores in the neighborhood, as well as in the basement (next to an ATM), so I never really got around to trying the buffet breakfast downstairs, being able to choose my own breakfast fare. The walls were thick enough for me not to hear too much of the neighbors. It is a real pain in a neck to only have WIFI in the lobby, and if you see more than 15 people there surfing on their phones, you can count on the reception to be very weak, or unavailable. Just 4 minutes away, is the Yangpyeong metro station which you can conveniently take to any other point in the city. I enjoyed my stay, I must say, in spite of the WIFI situation.

    Small Rooms...

Rooms are small but not as dirty as I had imagined. The bed was not comfortable though and appears small and fragile. Bathroom is extremely small. This hotel houses a lot of guests tied up with tour packages and therefore most of the guests would be dead tired upon reaching the hotel room thereby rendering their little kitchen in room unnecessary. There was a convenient store opposite the hotel that sells instant noodles and you can eat there upon purchasing. There are 2 tables at the convenient store. MIT station is about 1.5km or more away from the hotel. Breakfast is quite ok.

    Clean place to lodge

The room is clean and equipped with a pantry. TV is a small and there is no international channel. You can pay a deposit to loan international power adapter from front desk. There is no internet in the room but wifi at the lobby is fast at 30M. A few covenience shops and station 525 is within walking distance.
