Perfect stayHotel is super! Great value for the money you've paid. Best restaurant I've ever had on the Cote d'Azur. Food is variable and tasty, perfect service! Highly recommended to all of you, do not hesitate to go and stay :)

Two-Night stayA very family-visit hotel that invite children with open arms. Not a couple-friendly hotel with all the kids activity in the evening and in the pool as well. Breakfast with no cleaning of the tables. Nice view of the sea from the hotel and the hotels balcony and restaurant.

Average holiday club in good locationAs a family with toddler we were quite keen to spend holidays with full board and some childcare included. last year we stayed in another vacanciel and it was quite good, just not close to the beach. This year we chose St Maxime location because it offers more in terms of surrounding area amenities and private sandy beach. Positives: - Nursery from 3months old included in price - Quite good location, supermarket and small town walking distance away, St Maxime short drive away, St Tropez and other local places to visit - Set in quite nice gardens - Rooms are newly refurbished - Private beach with beach beds included, never overcrowded despite high season in July - Kids playground and bouncy castles Negatives: - no wifi in the rooms. With over £2000 a week one would expect a wifi. It is not even available at extra pay, so had to go to reception or bar area every time - Food was school canteen or hospital level with a lot of 'recycling' of prior day's dishes. In 9 out of 10 cases I did not have trust in salad bar as few times they tasted obviously off. maybe a coincidence but my husband ate these salads and was sick with stomach for a week. I heard of other guests being sick too. Not once we had a meal which we enjoyed, everything was extremely bland (no salt, pepper, herbs) and not something one would expect from food in France in general. Last year's club was by miles superior in this respect. You can really feel cost saving in the kitchen is the main priority. - We had family suite with two bedrooms. One was a shoe box room with no air con, air con in main bedroom did not work properly. Reception staff did not do anything about it despite bringing up concerns to them - Nursery. Even though it is positioned from 3 months, I personally wouldn't leave child less than 1.5 year old there as it felt hectic and more of a place where they just keep an eye on them. It was ok though to leave older toddler for a couple of hours morning and afternoon. - Pools. Note once in two weeks have I seen a guard around both adult and kids pool areas. Adult pool was full of children. Kids pool is not quite toddler safe and kids can easily fall into deep water (no gates/barriers around). Also, there is no requirement for double nappy (disposable swim nappy plus proper swim nappy for containment) for babies and young toddlers. When accidents happen, the water is not emptied - poop just scooped out and rest is left to filters for a couple of hours. It may be the norm though and just different approach compared with the UK. - Entertainment was really subprime. You don't expect west end show from a holiday club but except a couple of evening with live music, it was just very poor and kitsch. I am not talking about sports activities here, just entertainment. Again, last year we had much better experience at Vacanciel in another location - Not suitable for someone who is not fluent in French as vast majority of staff do not speak English, including nursery/kids clubs - Nothing to do with the club, but sea was extremely dirty and you could see gasoline floating as there are quite a few boats around. beach beds were ok though Overall, experience was ok - we had time at the pool, visiting the area, couple of hours of childcare a day included, no need to cook. It's South of France and you expect t will be a bit pricy but I think overall service, quality of food and small details still leave a lot to be desired even compared with other Vacanciel. Will we consider going back? Maybe but only we can get 30-50% off deal online as it is certainly not worth full price.

Superb view... ifThe real value of this place is the view from the room. For that you need to be in the main building, on the 3rd or 4th floor, facing the see. But if you ask for it not only you pay the highest price but on top you will pay 49 because you expressed a choice... And this information is given to you at check-out time ! Rooms are cleaned only once during a one-week stay.. Food is OK. Large choice for appetizer but very much basic. Then meat and fish are always available, but again medium quality. Receptionists are nice and friendly. Do not count on the staff at réservation time to give you all the details. And worse, do not count on the director to help you solve a problem if any.

Great locationWe rented a 2 bd bungalow for a week , with a baby and a 4 year old. The location of the bungalow was just overlooking the main road so we had lots of traffic and noise. Because we were so low down we also missed out on a view of the sea. The all you can eat buffet restaurant is very overpriced and the food is below par. The south of France is known for its good food but this restaurant is obviously aimed at turning out large quantities offood For a low cost. However, this didnt really bother us because we had a kitchen in the bungalow. The hotel is literally right across the street from the beach which was cle n and easily accessible. I would recommend this place but it is worth asking for preferred placement when renting a bungalow.
