  6 Weeks in Paradise

  Thanks to all the staff at Sunset Resort who pampered us during our 6 week stay. The grounds and accomodations are immaculate, the location is perfect, and the staff were wonderful. My wife and I were lucky enough to stay ocean-front during our time in Rarotonga and were not disappointed.

  Fantastic resort

  My husband and I stayed at this adult only resort for a week of rest and relaxation. Such a beautiful resort and so helpful. We were picked up from the airport by Rua, who was really friendly and knowledgeable. Greeted at the resort by really friendly engaging staff and shown to our lovely room, everything was wonderful. We had drinks at the Birdcage bar, lovely quite bar with friendly bar person. The resort has two pool areas one at the birdcage and the other by the restaurant. A short stroll to the beach where there are numerous seating areas, with loungers and hammocks. We ate a few times at the restaurant, the anchorage. The food was flavoursome and the cost was in line with other eateries on the island. A quick dip in the pool every morning before the heat set in. A boutique type resort with a smallish number of rooms. The cocktails were awesome. Would definitely be back

  twas great!

  First off, this was the place to stay ,we were very welcomed and allowed to stay for an extension of 14 days during border lockdown. We can't say enough of the managers and staff taking care of us both during the actually holiday part of our stay and the extension. We could not have been in a better spot, beautiful beach, pools , view of the ocean/sunsets,good snorkelling area to.If we ever make it back to the Cooks this is our place to park it!

  Just love the Sunset Resort

  I always stay at the Sunset Resort. Management & staff magnificent. Close to town & all amenities. I always love to see my friends & adopted family when I get back home. Rooms spacious & well equipped for my needs. I always stay in Room 5 which is on the beach. I have been to Rarotonga 26 times & just love my island paradise.

  POOL TOO COLD

  I particuarly chose this resort because it offered heated swimming pool. Important to me for joint problems. I had emailed pre stay to make sure the pool was heated, answer was yes. Was not the case. Disappointing to say the least. Room nice, right on lagoon, house keeping excellent. Restaurant just ok, breakfast ordinary ( this was leased out when we were there). We travelled in June 2019, so things my have improved. Great bakery across the road.
