  Great location!

  What works for Sherwood is its location! If you are looking for a break in the midst of nature and are ok with basic rooms with very average maintenance, this place will not disappoint. We travelled in October and safety measures (keeping in mind the pandemic) were very much on point. We have no complaints, whatsoever, in that regard. We skipped the buffet and opted for room service; the quality of the food (including the packaging), as well as the service, were excellent. All in all, if you expect a highly maintained property, you will be disappointed; however, if you expect basic hygiene, comfort, and a getaway in the lap of nature, this is the place for you. Club Mahindra has two properties in Mahabaleshwar - this, by a mile, is the better one!

  A Safe Vacation during Pandemic

  It was our 17th Anniversary and we finally gathered the courage to venture out after nine months of strictly staying indoors. We decided to travel to Mahabaleshwar, which is our favorite holiday destination close to home. This was our third visit to CM Mahabaleshwar Sherwood but still, we were very excited. We love the resort for its scenic views and its numerous trees. This was also the first resort we visited after becoming Club Mahindra member eight years back and hence, a lot of memories are associated with it. We started early on a Monday morning and drove down on comparatively empty roads and highways. On our way to Sherwood, we stopped at Mapro Garden in Panchgani for refreshments, our first eat-out since the pandemic started. We loved the french fries and the ice-cream with farm-fresh strawberry and enjoyed the view of the strawberry farm and the clear blue sky. We were apprehensive about visiting public places due to the Covid scare but once we reached CM Sherwood we relaxed after witnessing the stringent measures that were adopted to ensure our safety. Some things dont change and CM Sherwood is one of those places. The front office looked the same, apart from the safety shields that have been installed at the reception to ensure safety. The welcome drink, strawberry tea, is also the same the only difference being it is now served in paper cups due to the pandemic. We got a room in the main block on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool. The view from the balcony was picturesque. It was a spacious and cozy room with all the amenities that you need to relax on a holiday. Special thanks to Karan for keeping our room always fresh and clean and showing up immediately whenever we needed anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our four days trip at Mahabaleshwar. The weather was fantastic, pleasant during the day and a bit chilly during the nights. We spent most of our time inside the resort taking long strolls, relaxing on the swings, and taking photos of the flowers and the few birds that we could spot. For the first time here we were thrilled to see the giant Malabar squirrel. It compensated for the last two times as we spotted more than one and on more than three occasions. The view of the sunset from the Sherwood point was ecstatic. Every day after dinner, we watched the stars in the clear sky from the Sherwood point. We also visited the Lingmala waterfall and did boating in Venna lake. We did not visit the other sight-seeing points as we have already visited twice in the past and preferred not to visit too many public spots at this time. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the swimming pool, the happy hub and the spa were closed. The swimming pool was drained and kids enjoyed playing cricket inside the pool. The restaurant too looked the same, but for the first time, somewhere in Maharashtra, we were offered a food package deal. While a food package deal is very common in the south we never got any deal in the past anywhere in Maharashtra. Being a foodie, as always we took the buffet on all days and for all meals. While the buffet spread was as usual, CM has come up with a new concept of an assisted buffet as part of the safety measures being followed. Waiters were standing at the buffet counters and served as per our need and guests were not allowed to touch or go close to the buffet spread. The food was delicious, and we loved every bit of it. The chicken biryani, tandoori chicken pakoda, and malai angoori were the best. A special note of thanks to Ayukta, Abhay, and Deepak for their warm hospitality and for always serving with a smile. We did not feel like leaving at all but as all good things come to an end and so did our vacation. We will certainly visit CM Mahabaleshwar Sherwood again. P.S. While we enjoyed our vacation thoroughly, we also did miss something. In the past, during the pre-arrival call CM used to enquire about any special occasion during our stay and if we were celebrating any special occasion they used to wish us on the special day along with a cake. A small gesture that made a magical moment. We spent our last three anniversaries in CM resorts but have missed this magical moment.

  Nice property in dense foest area. Very natural atmosphere.

  Overall, it was grat experience. Safety with all guest was maintained. Food was excellent. No any risk to spendign holidays at Club Mahindra Sherwood resorts. Sunset point location was in resort was also very nice to view surrounding and sun set. That is other issue that during our stary, climate was cloudy and foggy. In restaurent area giant squirrel was attraction to kids. Nice stay with family. Relax in resort is great expereince.

  Mahindra Sherwood is a beautiful property with excellent service. Great rooms and fantastic food. We had a great time with our friends and we hope to be back soon! Thank you Nilesh ji and the entire staff at the property!

  A peaceful & wonderful break away from Mumbai with excellent food and wonderful staff

  Very well located in peaceful surrounding... perfect getaway from routine life... Very good staff and excellent food... Good, welcoming & warm people right from front desk to house keeping to restaurant to Fun Zone... Will definitely recommend this property for a quick break and disconnect yourself from Mumbai's hectic life....
