Very friendly hotelI stayed here with my husband and 3 children in a clean family room with lovely views of the mountains. The room had a double bed ,a single and bunk bed with bath /shower with constant hot water ,which was lovely after a days skiing and is usually very rare in a hotel . Only two things we missed from the room were pillows ,we had one flat pillow each and also didn't have a kettle ,a big miss first thing in the morning! The staff are lovely ,very friendly . They had a school trip while we were there and to be honest although we had a number of staying on our floor ,they weren't noisy at all ,however it was a bit noisy in the bar area but having children ourselves we didn't mind . The location to the ski lift is good and the boot and ski hire shop there is very friendly too . The town is about a 10 minute walk very pretty but seemed quite deserted and everything was closed when I walked there ,I think they close from about 1.30pm till 3.30. My husband said some of the runs were beautiful, through the trees so maybe it's a good thing that Cesana /San scicaro are so quiet !

Our balcony had a view over the overflowing binsStayed at Hotel Solaris on a school ski trip. It is situated close to the ski lift but to get actually ski you have to take 3 lifts! The hotel is clean but food, staff are very grumpy, decoration is shocking, the ratio of beds to space in room is despicable, there is barely enough hot water for one person per room with the hot water running out because the rooms near you had taken long showers, everything was extremely basic. Would definitely not recommend staying here... ever!

Greate place to stay for skiingSpend a first week of February skiing in Via Lattea. Stayed at Solaris. Maybe this hotel is not very modern or full of amenities, but it has a spirit. Staff is friendly and ready to help you, entertain you, make you happy and having good time. And it is closest to the lifts. Cesana Torinese is a small and quite a boring town, while in Solaris we had a fun each evening. Recommend definitely.

WAITRESSMontserrat is absolutely wonderful!! She is super sweet, polite, friendly!!! She remembered our drinks, she brought us specialty drinks/shots,and "welcomed" us every time we entered the bar.We would talk with her every night while we hung out, relaxed, and played games.

Highly recommendMy boyfriend and I came to Solaris not knowing what to expect and we we ended up having the best time. One of the things that attracted us to this resort is the the fact that its all inclusive. Ive never done all inclusive before so I was definitely speculative to see if it really was all inclusive. It definitely was. Theres a schedule of when food is available. In the morning theres generally a buffet style setting with a chef that can also customize an omelette, scrambled eggs etc for you. Theres also a number of bars (including one you can swim up to in the pool) where drinks are free of charge with the the all inclusive package. All the bartenders were great but our favorite was definitely Luis who works at the main lobby bar: There are two nicer restaurants included in the package. Marco Polo and Panchos. If you want to dine there as opposed to the dinner buffet available then you need to make a reservation first thing in the morning. I had tuna tartar and shrimp bisque my first night at Marco Polo and it was delicious. They rotate different menus everyday between French, Mediterranean, Fajitas etc so youre not eating the same meal every day. Although tips are not expected/required due to the all inclusive package my boyfriend and I tipped everyone that took care of us on throughout the week on our last day. This isnt required by any means but it was something we felt was right because of service they gave us. Aside from good food I would have to say the customer service that Solaris offered was great. When we first arrived we were greeted by a travel assistant/advisor Karina. She made us feel extremely welcome and helped us throughout our stay scheduling dinner reservations and excursions. She never pushed any excursions on us but was super informative on what our options were and gave us great deals. I will say that we were offered deals on excursions/massages for attending a timeshare presentation. My boyfriend and I already have a timeshare in Tahoe. We went into the presentation with an open mind but we decided it wasnt best for us but its something were recommending to our friends that dont have time shares to check out. Theres multiple pools throughout the resort. My bf and I are in our late 20s and dont have kids but ironically we decided to spend most of our time at the family pool where they have activities between 11:00-5:00. They have activities like water aerobics (which at first I made fun of but ended up doing it for 6 days straight because it was so fun) beach volleyball, water volleyball, ping pong and tons of other games. If youre looking for a more adult relaxing experience theres an adult pool without activities/children. If you do have kids they have a whole other pool with water slides and kid friendly shallow pools. Since my boyfriend and I spent so much time at the family pool we ended up becoming great friend with the staff that coordinate/run the activities. Aaron, Jhony, Lara, Maggie, JJ, & Jose made the activities so much fun. Day one I was thinking there was no way I was going to participate in anything but by the end of the week I was doing everything and having a blast because the staff makes you feel like family. By the end of the week I truly felt like family/friends with them and was sad to leave. If youre planning on relaxing and dont want the activities you can go to the adult pool where its total relaxation. Theres basically the best of both worlds here. All in all, I would definitely recommend Club Solaris. It was one of best vacations weve had.
