  hotel de vacaciones familiares

  Es un hotel de agencia-playa, pero no es un hotel 4 estrella español. La habitación triple estaba bien, tres camas iguales en buen estado y espaciosas. La limpieza dejaba que desear, la terraza tenía 3 nidos de golondrinas y el suelo estaba muy sucio, no lo llegaron a limpiar en los días que estuvimos. La media pensión, muy media. Para el desayuno pan, cereales y cruasanes o beicon y huevos revueltos, agua con color de zumo y café de máquina lenta, pero muy bueno. Para la cena el agua y el vino en la mesa desde el primer momento, pero el mantel sucio siempre. La playa está lejos, caminando por la duna unos 20 minutos, en el transporte que pone el hotel, 5 minutos más otros 15 para cruzar la duna. Es un paraje natural bien conservado.

  In the middle of Nowhere!

  My wife and I recently spent two nights in this hotel and never even managed to find out how far away the beach was, or how to get there. Apparently it is a considerable walk, involving the crossing of a railway line, or taking an infrequent and longer shuttle bus journey. One cannot actually see the sea from the hotel. We were travelling by coach with a group of friends and the driver had trouble finding the place. It is right at the end of a residential or tourist complex that was never completed. For some reason it is surrounded by a fence (perhaps to keep the guests in but Im not sure why; where is nowhere to escape to in the evening unless one has ones own transport or pays through the nose for a taxi!). Admittedly, the pool area is nice but you can only relax there if the attendants' choice of loud music is to your taste. In our case it wasnt. Bizarrely, if you want a drink in the evening that is where you have to go, but bringing your drinks back into the hotel - out of range of the music - is frowned upon. Food wise, it is buffet only, for both breakfast and dinner, and the choice of food is pretty typical of what is on offer in the many hundreds of 'beach' hotels in the Mediterranean - providing sustenance rather than satisfaction. The bedrooms are just about OK; at least ours was clean. The only Wi-Fi available is in the lobby area and that is where parents seem to congregate in the evenings to use their tablets and laptops, while the children run riot. We stayed in several hotels during our stay in Sicily, and this one was at the bottom of the list by a considerable margin.

  Pros, y contras

  Elegimos este hotel con la idea de poder disfrutar de la piscina. Una vez allí, nos enteramos que para poder utilizarla, es necesario usar gorros de baño, cosa de la que no avisan con anticipación. Wifi solo disponible en la entrada y zonas comunes, pero no en las habitaciones... Las habiaciones tienen terraza, lo que es un punto a su favor. Parking gratis, y transporte a la playa, la cual está a unos 15-20 minutos a pie del hotel. Desayuno correcto. El hotel está alejado del pueblo, pero si la idea es disfrutar del Todo Incluido, no debería ser un problema. Si por el contrario, lo quieres usar como base para visitar la zona, es mejor buscar otro hotel.

  A Beach too far

  The name of this hotel gives a very false impression ,not only is it not on the beach but the beach cannot be seen. An attempt to find this allusive beach found we were wired in and there was a railway line between the hotel and beach. Our welcome to the hotel was less than satisfactory with reception staff being unhelpful.However things did improve it was evident that a manager had given some direction. The restaurant in this hotel is more of a canteen,all self service and the range a quality of food was not up to Sicily's usual standard.However there was wine on tap ..a positive!! There is no alternative to eating here without own transport. Our room was fine ,spacious and overlooking the pool area. The pool was large and clean. There was a pool side bar for after dinner drinks and some entertainment but no drinks served in the hotel. This strikes me as a family hotel although if it rains as it did when we were there ,there is little for children to do

  Simply the Best

  Our friends and we (my wife and I) spent a terrefic fortnight in July in Selinunte Beach. It's a four-star-hotel deserves five stars definetely.Perfect and very spacy rooms with a big bathroom, a balcony with a garden view decorated in white-blue (Mediterranean style). Not very many people, I would rather say - few people on week days. but a lot of italians at week-ends. It's a good experience: to practise Italian and see the latest fashion/ Italians do like to show off.A perfect animation team, fantastic music, dances, gymnastics (stretching and aqwaaerobics). The staff is polete and helpful. We were especially thankful to Nicolette (reception manager). She helped us to arrange many trips to Erichi, Trapani, Castelvetrano, Agrigento and other beautiful places of Southern Sicily.But the most wonderful thing was the restaurant and thr food was terrefic,fantastic, divine, gorgeous, Besides, the waiters liked us so much that they presented us home-made brown bread and home made olive oil. The only minus was the sea. It was rather far away (about 1 km),and that year the Mediterranean sea was cool if not cold +18. I would recommend this hotel who like quiet rest,Italian(Sicilian) cousine, Italians, sights, music,sun and happiness.
