  Location is good but they need some improvement

  Came here with a group for a conference, so we had no say in where we stayed. This hotel name is Grand Hotel Mediteranneo; but it is listed slightly different in Tripadvisor. Room is clean and basic has essentials and good view of ocean. The housekeeper cleaned our room the first day and opened our balcony door and left it open (while the AC was running). This heated our room and caused it to be very humid. It also was a security breach as the balconies are such that anyone could just climb into our room! Our meals are all here at the hotel as part of the conference deal and this absolutely has to be the worst part of this whole experience. I am unsure if the hotel is simply not accustomed to serving so many people at one time or if this is just how they operate; but for every meal we are lined up like cattle at the restaurant door and allowed to go in small groups at a time. Once in, we all line up at one of 2-4 stations to get our first course. After that, we have to get up and line up again for second course, etc. beverages are limited to certain things at certain meals- so the coffee and juice is available only at breakfast but turned off at other meals. There is bread available but it is in one location and that requires that you battle through the lines of people waiting to get their portion for each course. This is hands down the worst scenario for a situation like this that I have ever seen. The food itself is mediocre at best and consists of a pasta or two, meat and some kind of potato. Very limited vegetables have been served and nothing green. We are actually going out to a legitimate restaurant tonight because we can't bear to deal with this process again. The beach and pool activities offered seem numerous; it looks like they try really hard to keep people entertained, however when we asked for paddles and ball for ping pong - we were told to come back after lunch one day and at 4:00 the following day. The pool was seemingly off limits to anyone who didn't have a swim cap. I thought perhaps this was a cultural thing until I looked at the pool next door and noted that people were having fun with no swim caps. All- in- all; this has been just an ok experience. The staff here seem pretty friendly and nice, but I still could not recommend this place to anyone.

  Too much plastic!! but friendly staff

  We had a very relaxing stay. Room was big though the bathroom needs renovation. Beach and pool were ok. Food was either ok or great, that varied a bit. However I want to point out that the all inclusive only includes a small variety of rather cheap beverages including coffee from a bad machine. And everything came in plastic cups. Also shampoo, soap etc was all in small plastic sealed packaging. If you care about the environment better try to find a more eco friendly hotel! But very important the staff was fantastic, very nice, very helpful, they made our stay great!
