  A gem!

  We stayed at the Clifton during my husbands birthday weekend. From my initial interactions with them on the phone, they were so friendly and helpful! I spoke to Ann about things to do in the area and she also explained the differences between the rooms/suites. When we got there, everyone was welcoming and enthusiastic. Our room was beautiful and they even had a nice little tray of goodies for my husbands birthday! We ate at their restaurant, 1799, for dinner that night and it was delicious! Eric, the bartender was fun and easy to talk to - not to mention he made delicious drinks!!! Our server was sweet and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and yummy - but be prepared to shell out some $$! The ambiance was cozy and intimate - great for a romantic dinner for two! Casey at the front desk also recommended some wineries/breweries to us - Mount Ida was exactly what we were looking for!! The bed was super comfortable and we LOVED the shower and clawfoot tub. One of our sinks was leaking on top, which didnt really bother us but we let them know about it when we left and they took off the resort fee for our troubles. Very classy establishment with superb customer service. Well definitely be back!!!!!

  Clifton Inn comes through the ice storm with flying colors

  We wanted to get away for a night for a birthday celebration, after a year pent up by pandemic. We visited our local historic inn, planning to stay for one night. The Honeymoon Cottage was lovely--comfortable and rustically elegant. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant with careful covid precautions, and excellent accommodations. Superb breakfast as well. An ice storm forced us to stay a second night--quel dommage!!! Another day and night of luxury and comfort, lovely food and sound sleep. Everyone took such good care of us. We now plan to become Regulars.

  Everyone that helped us was friendly and welcoming, our room was beautiful, and the restaurant is out of this world! The entire property is beautiful and even in winter, it was great to walk the grounds and enjoy the views.

  First time in awhile

  We really enjoyed the updated look and feel of the new furnishings. We had a couple of bumps but everything was sorted and we were impressed with the manager's response. Lovely and very comfortable getaway and breakfast is always amazing.

  a great evening all around, dinner party that was perfectly taken care of in every last detail to the color of the flowers to the color of the linens to the birth cake that was bought to the presentaton of our meals perfect
