  If you're looking for an amazing Newquay holiday, look no further. Rhia and Dom could not have been better hosts and really made the holiday for us! It was my partners birthday not too long before we arrived and Rhia made a fabulous job of putting up a few banners which he absolutely loved. They were more than happy to assist with anything in the b&b and out, with good recommendations on restaurants, activities and pubs. The location was absolutely superb and you really couldn't want any better. Rhia and Dom are oh so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Right next to several beaches including Fistral, just down the road from the main town, few minutes walk from the harbour and next to a sea view pub. Breakfast was perfect, given they couldn't open their communal area and instead brought breakfast to you it was always piping hot and on time for when you ask the night before. Wide range of options for breakfast, definitely something for everyone and tasted absolutely delicious! All in all we will definitely be visiting again and have recommended to many friends and family.

  Excellent!

  Such a lovely B&B . Very clean , I have to say we remarked on how lovely the bed linen smelled and also how white it is . Extremely comfortable mattress and pillows which I think is very rare . Great owners , good breakfast and care taken in these extremely trying times we are in . Yes we would stay again .

  Perfect hosts, amazing view, you must stay here

  Rhia was a superb host! You can tell she takes real pride in Cliff House as it is just lovely from the well kept gardens to the lovely decor and Whistlefish prints! Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious. Such a shame we missed out on the lovely breakfast room that we had seen on pictures but breakfast in the comfort of our sea view room (Towan) was perfect! Views from the room were just lovely especially when the sun made an appearance! The prosecco on arrival to help us celebrate our engagement was a lovely touch too. We will definitely be back again Thank you for a lovely stay.

  Perfect Stay

  We arrived on Sunday afternoon to a beautiful bouquet of flowers that my partner has organised with our owner Rhia from a lovely local florist. Our room was beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Rhia was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The guesthouse is in a perfect location for the amazing Fistral Beach and all local amenities. Parking is a premium as its in the high street but we didnt have an issue, high season will be busier but there is a Sainsburys across the road where you can park free for 2 hours. We found this the perfect location for everything we wanted to do including kayaking, cycling and walking. The pub next door called The Fort was lovely for outside eating and drinking. The guesthouse has all the appropriate Covid guidelines in place and we felt very comfortable. It was my partners birthday today and Rhia couldnt have been more helpful. We would highly recommend this beautiful guesthouse and will definitely be back again soon. Lisa Baxter & Dave Fretton

  BnB done properly

  During the COVID pandemic getting away has been a nightmare for many, operators have had to change the way the do things and some have grasped it better than others. At Cliff House your hosts, Rhia and Dom, do not disappoint. With the breakfast room closed, for social distancing purposes, you are offered to take breakfast in your room or made up to take out. The choice of dishes is good and they have selected great quality ingredients. Simply order the evening before via WhatsApp and theyll deliver to your room at the required time. Our room was a little on the small side for our five night stay however as we were out for most of the time this really didnt pose too much of a problem. We were also offered storage for our cases if we wished to free up space - most places wouldnt offer that. Now for the all important question - would we stay again, of course we would. The location is good, the price was fair, breakfast was good and the hosts excellent.
