  Wouldnt Rush Back

  Rooms were clean, and hotel had lots of parking. Hotel was clean but outdated but appeared to be being updated. Hotel staff (front desk) didnt seem to friendly. We were in the middle of breakfast and they started turning off the lights and packing things up. It was technically time for it to close but seemed odd they started turning off the lights and tv without any warning or anything. Continental Breakfast wasnt much other than cereal, toast, muffins, and yogurt. Not sure what else is around the area as we were with a kids hockey team and rooms were pre booked but might consider something else if available. There was a new hotel being built beside this place when we were there.

  Out dated and questionable staff

  I honestly have now stayed at 2 hotels in Clearwater and they were both outdated and gross! The staff at this establishment we found to be unsavoury and questionable! First off, there clearly is zero dress code as the housekeeping staff worn big feather boots, tight jeans, slinky spegetti strap top that exposed their many tattoos! The weekend front desk staff was asked 3 times throughout our stay to have maintenance fix our toilet that did not work and flooded the bathroom and she refused to do it! The housekeeper was asked to please clean our room, to which she replied that she had 2. Floors to do and didnt have time for all the rooms! I did however see the housekeeping staff take several cigarette breaks in a guest room above ours and flick the butts down to our patio area! I would not recommend this place to anyone as the staff look and act like something out of prison break! Keep driving!

  Clearwater Lodge

  Horrible experience. First, we got checked into a room that clearly had not been cleaned or actually still had someone staying in it. Then our key wouldn't work to open the door to the pool,so the desk person opened it for us. We were shocked to see cigarette butts and bandaides on the pool deck, and the doors to the outside were not even closed or locked. Needless to say, we did not use these facilities. The balconys are very close, so leaning forward, you can see the ashtrays on the tables next to your room, hence the terrible smell in the whole room. The entire motel very much needs a good cleaning (the freezer was just one solid block of frost) and the bathroom desperatley needs to be updated. There are a lot of motels, that we were not aware of, just up the hill from this junction. Any one of them would have been better than this place. This was day 4 of our holidays, so not only the worst of places but also the most expensive (including Jasper and Banff !!!) I would never stay there again nor recommend it.

  There are better places to stay in Clearwater, won't make that mistake again

  This was our second time staying at the Clearwater Lodge, first time the heating was out for the entire hotel, but things can happen so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second time Yesterday (Oct 01 2020) was our second stay, room was clean, but overpriced, Hotel restaurant is way overpriced and has very limited selection, even the staff recommend there are other eating establishments close by. There was construction just outside our window at 6:45 am, guys putting up a ladder etc.. The advertised continental breakfast is a total joke, a couple of oranges in the fridge and some granola bars, no coffee, juice, or anything else, clearly management doesn't care and neither should you . Avoid this place.

  Great Place!

  Rooms were clean and well taken care of, defiantly recommend. Staff was friendly and restaurant was really good. great stop along the way to Alberta or Sight seeing at Wells Grey. New hotel going right beside it as well.
