  Lovely place

  When we first arrived there was a bit of a mix up with the room which was my fault. This soon got delt with. The place is lovely just of the road a 5 min walk to the beach. The rooms nice and clean with everything you could need. And the staff all lovely and friendly. The pool area is nice and well looked after and cleaned daily. Would not hesitate to go back. Thank you clear house and your staff for a lovely stay

  Great find at a great price

  Clear house is a decent resort with a 10min walk to the beach. Staff our friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. The pool area is also clean and warm. For the price its worth it There is a decent Thai restaurant on the corner and a shop for any amenities.

  The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

  I normally do not like to be negative in my reviews but this Hotel has given me cause to do so. We stayed in the junior suite for 2 weeks and chose this hotel based on previous good reviews of which we now feel misled us, The GOOD ; Simple but nice breakfast Friendly staff Nice pool area Let us have late checkout Good beach towel service Simple but very cheap minibar Good location to beach, shops & restaurants Well priced, The BAD; Several occasions had to request toilet paper and soap, shower overflowing due to blocked drain, Room not cleaned well at all and serviced late in afternoon by pool hand, Room situated above reception and meal area and was very noisy in morning from 6 am and from people checking in/out sometimes 2am. Also room was on boundary wall and we had the company of roosters starting from 4 am daily, On arrival the desk had no idea we were staying there even after booking and paying months in advance, Food and plates left around pool all day, yogurt not on ice at breakfast, food spills on floor not cleaned immediately, Bins not emptied frequently and overflowing, Tiles around pool area very slippery, The UGLY Our 1st floor balcony immediately outside our door had an assortment of broken floor tiles which had been covered over by a mat which remained there during our stay. Pieces of tiles must have even been falling down into reception area. There was no effort to repair and we have no idea how long it was like this. Clearhouse, this was unacceptable and downright dangerous. I hope the owners of this potentially good, well located hotel read this and improve their management to rectify problems.

  Super budget accommodation close to kamala beach

  Plan to stay close to kamala beach, clearhouse resort is a lovely place to stay. It's convenient, close to the main town area, lots of eating joints and massage parlours within walking distance. The beach is across the road and needs a 10 minute walk. The hotel is very well maintained. It seems like a new place Rooms are spotless and toilets are very clean. The swimming pool too is very well maintained and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. In fact you can easily rent a bike from the hotel itself without any hassles. The only problem is there is no restaurant at the hotel premises and the place has no lift, so if you are with heavy luggage, suggest you stay on the ground floor. However luggage wasn't a big issue for us and we stayed on the fist floor and had a pool facing room. We enjoyed our stay here and are definitely coming back.

  Better not

  Very friendly and helpful staff. Thats about it. The place looks quite new but it is dirty and tiles around the pool are broken. The water in the pool was dirty too. We were lucky we had a room on the end off the hall with a nice balcony. There were several people complaining about the noise from the lobby/reception/restaurant. We had no clean towels for two days because of problems with the laundry. Such a shame for such a nice place on a good location.
