  Haunted by Margaret

  A project for work has required me to spend 3-4 days/week in Hamilton, and accordingly work selected this facility, I can only imagine this choice was a price-based one, as the motel is about 30 years overdue for refurbishing. In the first week of my stay, a couple of guys staying in the room next to me asked if I'd seen the "Asian lady who complains about noise". Puzzled, I said I hadn't, but also that I hadn't noticed them making any noise. They'd been chatting outside their door at a perfectly normal level, something I couldn't even hear until I opened my own door. In the third week of my stay, it all became clear. A colleague had paid me a visit that evening, and we were finishing up our conversation while she had a cigarette outside my door, shortly before midnight. Out of the darkness, a fluffy white dressing gown-clad apparition loomed from the shadows. Looking remarkably as if she were going to stumble straight through us into my room, she stopped short just as abruptly and squinted into my face. She then advised us in no uncertain terms that talking time was over for the evening and that we should be in bed. Being a grown man, and noticing she bore zero resemblance at all to my mother, I asked if she was serious. She was quite certain that she was. So I let her know I wasn't a child. My colleague was rather nonplussed by the presumption that she'd be staying the night, and on saying so she was told she should have left at 9.30pm sharp if she were not. We were both also advised that we were not in our house, and that we were "making noisy". Note that we were having a conversation at normal speaking levels, there was no loud music or especially loud discussion. Once I informed Margaret that she was out of line, she slithered back into the darkness from whence she had first emerged. Needless to say, work was told to find me more suitable accommodation immediately. I've heard that Margaret the Manager still haunts that place to this day.

  Not coming back

  This place is in desperate need of a make over. Kitchen,bathroom old. Washbasin in bathroom badly cracked and cracks look black. Bed too soft, easy chair soft had problem getting out of it. They advertise Sky I did not have it. In back of guest info book was a list of costs if you damage something. a glas $ 20.00 ???? towel $ 25.00. If you mark your towel and they can't clean it you will be charged. Then there are charges for damage to bed, tv, chair, table etc. I have never seen anything like it. My stay was 1 night on a Friday and as Hamilton was almost fully booked due to tournaments they charged me $ 189.00 and next day was going up to $ 270.00. How that place can justify gthese charges is beyond me. Only positive, the place was clean.

  Dont stay here

  Shocking. Absolutely shocking. There was burn marks up the wall and on the back of the draws. Disgusting and dirty. Avoid at all costs Cob webs hanging from the ceiling. The shower was mouldy and gross. Gross gross gross. I dont know why people would pay to stay here

  Don't stay there

  This motel is extremely dated, there was mould everywhere in the bathroom (no Xpelair fan provided), the furniture was very uncomfortable, some of the hot points did not work, there had not been any maintenance for a very, very long time. The motel was not very clean at all, there were flies buzzing around, some of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty. This whole place is very much in need of an upgrade. We definitely would not recommend.

  Liar receptionist

  To be honest I never write reviews or complain but this time I have to it was horrible experience!!!!! and service from the receptionist named BOB , but I am sure it's not his real name . He wasn't professional at all and lie to myface about the swimming pool. I told him he can get people sick and the only things he keep repeating was no refund no refund bye.... He even lock himself to the office house and never came back to speaK to me... I was making him realize it's sooo bad the swimming pool condition and he was saying it's happened yesterday....what???! Green like this???!! Over night. They didn't even consider anything to make a client happy.....VERY DISAPPOINTING AND BIG LIAR,I told him he should to leave a message and said the swimming pool are not accessible.... Well he was SO UNPROFESSIONAL
