Wont returnWe booked the hotel for the night because of the ease of access to Millennium Place. We stayed two hours and left. No hot water. The connector to millennium place was atrocious: plywood covering broken windows, pizza on the floor, broken ceiling tiles, liquids spilled everywhere, just absolutely disgusting! The hotel advised it was millennium place that is to maintain this area jointly with them, but its apparent neither party has addressed the disrepair and uncleanliness. The hotel is a ghost town with very little guests around, overall needing TLC. Front desk offered us a different room due to the lack of hot water. We checked out instead. The hotel is in desperate need of TLC. Manager called to follow up, I appreciated him calling, however he was unable to get upper management to refund our money; he instead offered a discount to return. This hotel was a Holiday Inn when we stayed here 3 years ago and was a completely different experience overall. What happened to this place??? The hotel manager advised that they confirmed the hot water was working after we left... we most definitely did not have hot water. We wont be back.

The worst experience I have ever hadI am not one to write poor reviews, but I am so disheartened by the lack of customer service and response from this hotel that I feel the need to warn people. I stayed at this hotel, and upon arriving found that there were wings of the hotel that were shut down, had no power, and were non-functional. My colleagues checked into their room to find not working toilets, empty beer bottles on the counters, non-working wifi, no access to Sundry's on site (you needed to walk down the road 5 minutes to 711 to get water or toiletries), and leaking windows. The ceiling and walls are crumbling and falling apart in some areas of the hotel. In my room, I found chewed up gum and food on the floor, and no one cleaned my room for 5 of the 6 days I was there. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told I had a "do not disturb" sign on my door (which was there overnight and removed each morning at 7:30am when I left for the day). The hotel charged me $140/night and I was appalled at the cleanliness and service, so I went to the front desk to see whether they could do something about this. The first girl told me she would email the manager, and when I returned to check in later about it, the employee that took over advised that she had no idea what I was talking about and got angry that her colleague "left it up to her." I was told they would speak to a manager and help me out. The next day at check out, another staff at the desk let me know that managers don't come in on the weekend and he was unsure what the other staff were talking about, as no one was contacted. I'm not sure how it is ok to not have access to management on weekends, as people still stay in hotels over the weekend. Finally, a manager contacted me, as did customer service from the hotel. The manager offered me a suite when I return (I have no reason to return to Edmonton, as I was there on a one-off business trip, and I would not stay there if they paid me to). The manager then simply stopped responding to my emails, and customer service said they would let management know about my concerns. So needless to say, I paid $140/night to stay in filth and be treated that way, and nothing has been done to rectify this issue. My advice - STAY AWAY.

Good price but not great servicHotel hallways did not look like they had been vacuumed recently. I had to let the front desk staff know that two days in a row there were pieces of dried food (possibly crackers or cookies) outside the room next to ours. They did send someone to clean it up. We reserved by phone with Choice Hotels for 3 nights. When we returned to our room on the 3rd night the bed was unmade and nothing had been done - no bathroom cleaning, no fresh towels. Desk person brought some towels to us. Apparently our room was shown as a "checked out" room so therefore no one cleaned it that day. They are apparently short staffed and obviously in the Alberta economy, they always have vacancies so no rush to clean rooms that are supposed to be unoccupied. Breakfast was likely the best we have ever had as a included item in a hotel. Cereal, bacon or sausage, eggs, tea, coffee, french toast - all excellent. Overall, only if the price was right, we would consider staying there again - room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Also it was located next door to Millennium Place recreation centre and there was a connecting walkway if you chose to pay and spend time in the wave pool, indoor playground or fitness centre. Hotel pool was heated and looked clean.

Nice HotelStayed last week for 3 night when the weather was minus 35 . The manager let us park really close and plugins were available. The rooms were clean and comfortable they had a gym and a pool and served a hot breakfast every morning .The hotel is connected by a indoor walkway to a big recreation centre with a huge pool Lazy river ice rinks and much more . We enjoyed our stay and was super easy to get to the airport about 1/2 hr There room rate was great as well very nice hotel

Maintenance man needed!During the pandemic there were many services not offered. I totally understand that, however, I think it is during this time when entire floors were closed when some much needed maintenance should be done in these rooms. This hotel is in need of a maintenance main. From peeling wallpaper, badly functioning toilet where we had to fix it twice, and an entire area of caulking missing on the tub, I believe these are areas where the detail work is not attended to. More detail on cleaning is needed. The last visit I was not asked how my stay was.
